My girlfriend and I went to playa Chica for a week to escape the dutch weather. I was already a certified diver so wanted to do some diving. The location of Safari diving is amazing, no need go get your equipment from a van and get dressed outside but just inside their little shop. Due to the location on the beach, my girlfriend would just stay on the beach while I was only gone for an hour or so per dive. The guides Adam and Debora were great, they both know the dive sites like the back of their hand and showed us everything from seahorses and octopuses to nudibranch and large stingrays. They had a little competition of who could count the most angel sharks on one dive, which was 10 on a dive I did with Debora. When I was there it was really quite, so of the 6 dives I did with Safari, four of them were with one buddy and two were solo with Adam. They made sure to take me to all the pretty spots. I would definitely recommend Safari diving!

There are not many dive sites on Lanzarote and most diving schools (which are located in the various villages in Lanzarote) come with a van to drop off their divers and associated equipment at the beach of Playa Chica, where Safari Diving is also located. In Playa Chica are nine different dive sites, but as an advanced diver you can easily combine three dive sites; namely east, south and west. Most diving schools can handle the briefing and accompanying questions in multiple languages. English is always the official language, but at some diving schools even Dutch is spoken, which is of course always handy. There are very few free parking spaces on the beach of Playa Chica. So be on time is the message! compared to the other diving schools Safari Diving has the advantage that their diving school is located right on the beach of Playa Chica. The interior space is very small and is usually packed with divers, but if something is broken, the bottle is not filled enough or you have too little lead, they can help you immediately. It is doubtful whether the other diving schools with their van also have all the spare material with them. The current in Playa Chica is very gentle. Beyond the lava rocks there is a little more current, but here too you can easily dive against the current. When the sun shines, visibility is very good and there is a lot of light. Due to the gently sloping bottom, there is a lot of sand here, which makes this place extremely suitable for learning to dive. The majority of the diving group are students or inexperienced divers. Due to the corona epidemic, the diving schools currently have a shortage of good diving instructors. After all, many diving instructors have started working in another sector or have returned home. You can always dive with a guided group, but if they know that you have a lot of experience, you can dive independently with your buddy. Provided that you know which fish you can find where, you can still get the maximum pleasure out of your dive that way.

Amazing Experience with Safari Diving last week. They were very professional. This was my first time diving so I went on an introduction diving session. The session lasted around 2 hours which included learning the basics, a 1M drive to get the hang of it and then we were taken further out for a deeper dive. The instructor was great, she gave very clear instructions and made everyone feel at ease. Once we got further out we managed to see Seahorses and a tonne of sea creatures that we would of missed from just snorkeling. Oveall an amazing experience, reasonable price and the fact that they are right on the beach is so handy! Highly recommend if you've never done it before.

I have dived only a couple of times, but not in the last 5 years. I felt a bit nervous when I decided I wanted to visit the Museo Atlántico. Before doing that I had to do a try-dive with Safari Diving. Booking online was easy and really quick. Lots of availability and suitable to my time of day. All the equipment is provided and well looked after. The diving school is in a prime location in Puerto del Carmen for fishes in the bay. During my dive, I was able to see a Torpedo Ray! The instructor said this was very rare to see on a try-dive. Keaton was my instructor who was very kind and understanding of my nervousness at first. He took his time to slowly explain everything to me and was super patient with me. He made my overall experience fantastic. This dive alone has reignited my love for the sea. I would definitely recommend this place as all the staff are lovely. Even had the chance to get a visit from the little dog! 😄 I will be back when I have my next time in Lanzarote. Thanks guys! 💚

Beautiful dive. My first solo dive so was a little nervous but the staff and dive leader were super friendly and clearly great at their jobs. The dive leader was always checking if everyone was ok and also great at sorting out any equipment issues on land. The staff also spoke a wide range of languages making it easy for everyone in the group to understand at all times. Thoroughly recommend.
