I met Michael, owner of Bahianus Diving at my hotel, he offers a complimentary shot of the dive equipment in the hotel pool first to see if you would like the full experience. I decided to go for it! You then arrange a time and day to do the proper scuba dive. As a first time diver, I felt reassured and safe with Michael as he has a wealth of knowledge and diving experience, he is super organised, professional but friendly too. I was given clear instructions on what to bring with me on the day of the dive in order to make it the best possible experience. The dive experience itself was truly amazing. I felt safe at all times. Michael was with me and continuously checked on my equipment and wellbeing. To see all the beauty under the sea and to swim alongside the fishes was something special indeed. I was left speechless after my dive and was buzzing for the rest of day! As an optional extra for a small fee. Michael has an underwater camera and can take photos of you on your dive. I would highly recommend you do this. The photos are stunning and I was able to share my amazing experience with my wife and daughter when I came back. Michael is a master of his craft. If you want to do something really different whilst in Lanzarote, go diving with Bahianus. You will not be disappointed. I will certainly make a return visit. Thanks Michael!

While visiting La Geria Hotel a few years ago, I quite literally "took the plunge" & decided to become a sport diver, ( if I was fit enough). As it turned out I was !!!! so with quite a lot of help from both Michael & Michaela I managed to pass the CMAS Open Water Qualification, Since then I have returned on a few occasions, & dived the Great Barrier Reef a few times. I can honestly say a big thank you to them for all the pleasure I have had. I feel so safe diving with Michael or Michaela that if it did not defeat the object I would willingly go blindfold. Good safe area's, Knowlegable Instructors, & different fish everyday.

As a diving couple with 7000 dives between us, we are particular about the dive operations that we use when we pay for diving on holiday. From the moment I received the first email to the friendly handshake goodbye, we felt like part of the family and I had a "good feeling" about the operation, even before we had met them. Both Michael and Michaela were a joy to dive with and be guided by. Proper dive briefings, with a review of what they wanted in return, when communicating underwater, no extravagant claims of what was around the dive sites and what had been seen before. So, a professional's dive briefing. The plans were strictly adhered to, and they were adjusted to account for air consumption, so that all divers got a good 45-60 minute dive (depending on depths) Whilst we brought our own equipment, I had the chance to look around the dive base, and the equipment looked well serviced and in good condition. Whilst it wasnt applicable to us, bear in mind, they only take cash, no cards. Both DIN and A clamp available, steel cylinders (15, 12 & 10). Nitrox is available, but needs to be pre-ordered. If you rent a car, then do not park it in the hotel complex, or you will have to walk a long way to the DC. Go to the seafront and get free parking near the greatest ice cream seller in the world. It is a must do after a day's diving. So, in summary. Great DC operation Very knowledgeable, professional staff. Nice central location for apres-dive activities. Well worth a visit.

I had a dive with Michael, who was great with me and really helped after I had a scare during a dive in Turkey in 2013. The dive was only 10m deep-which is enough for a beginner, and it was amazing just how many fish there were round the rocks so close to the beach. The dive was 65euros and to have photos taken during the dive was an additional 20euros.
