Booked online for the dolphin interaction for myself and my partner before we came on holiday. Communicated with rancho Texas via their WhatsApp number in their website the advisor was extremely helpful every time.

Got to the park and the lady at the booking desk was very nice and helpful by marking spots on the map that I was interested in.

As we walked in we managed to join a que of 2 people to have our picture with a sea lion which you can purchase at the gift shop for ONLY €7 which is a very reasonable price.

Off to see the dolphin show before our interaction and it was FANTASTIC, nice big area for the dolphins with 2 other smaller areas for them, you could see how much the dolphins and the trainers enjoyed the show.

On to the dolphin interaction.. one of the best experiences of my life extremely glad I booked the interaction. The trainers were great extremely knowledgeable and you could see how much they loved the dolphins. We had our time with Noah the grandad of the group and it was perfect.

You get a printed photo of you with the dolphin but also the option to have all the photos taken emailed to you for €20 which I defo recommend.

Would 100% recommend visiting the park and if able to defo do the dolphin interaction.

P.S you don’t need to be able to swim as the water is around hip height of someone who’s 5’5.

Visited with my 10 year old son. We booked online the night before and it was €60/£52 for one adult and one child. Personally despite really enjoying ourselves I think that is a bit steep and would have thought around £40 for us would have been more appropriate, also child price was only to age 12. I saw there was a free bus but the park opens at 09.30 and the bus for our area (Puerto del carmen) was around 10.30-10.50. I decided to just walk as the distance from our hotel was only 0.8 miles and it took 20 mins. Luckily the weather wasn’t too hot at this time. On arrival there was a handful of people there and we pretty much felt we had the whole park to ourselves for over an hour! So definitely worth coming before the bus loads get here. We watched the parrot, dolphin and sea lion shows. We missed the birds of prey as we were In the waterpark by then. The shows were all amazing and the animals seemed very happy and eager to get their fishy treats! I think my favourite was the dolphin one. I think I was maybe expecting a few more animals but from what we did see all of them seemed happy and healthy. We ate at the pool bar which was very reasonably priced. €5.50 for cheeseburger and chips, some of the other meals looked amazing, maybe the cowboy one? Loads of meat basically for €10. We got a sunbed easily, very few in the shade but we got 2 and my son loved the 2 waterslides, struggled to get him off them! He wasn’t impressed the main pool was saltwater though. I had a dip in the pool and a go on the slides and enjoyed them all. Such a good idea having the waterpark with the zoo, especially when the weather was as hot as it is! Lockers were €7 and you got €5 back once you handed the key in. Pick up time on the free bus for our resort was 17.20, park closes at 17.30, other bus pick ups were 16.00 and 17.10. We got a taxi home as it was only 3 Euro but for people further away obviously it’s worth sticking to the free bus. Plenty of taxis waiting in the car park.

Rancho texas country and western night is a great night out with live music, dancing. The entrance fee is very reasonable, but if you visit the zoo, you can get 10% of the country and western night if you book the tickets then. The night consists of live music and acts throughout including lasso and line dancing. You do get a great meal which is a salad, garlic sauce/bbq sauce, roast potato, chicken and bbq pork belly. There is beer and sangria on the table to help yourselves and when they are empty they get filled up again. For 3 euros you can attempt to ride the bronco bull which is a good laugh. All in all a great night and worth the money.

This is a very clean and tidy zoo. The animals look well looked after and have plenty of room to move about in their various pens. The veiwing of most of the animals are on viewing platforms or through glass. There are 4 shows that are performed for the public, which are the dolphins, sealions, birds of prey and parrots. All are very entertaining and the birds of pray get up close when flying to their trainers over the heads of the public watching them. There is also a food hall that serve food and drinks and is very reasonably priced. The entrance fee to the zoo is 30 euros per person for adults and cheaper for children. This can be pre booked on line and there is a free bus that picks up at various points and also returns at the end of the day. All in all well worth the money to visit and the zoo is a credit to the staff who run and care for the animal's.

Really good experience. I'd recommend getting there for opening time as there is no fast track and you have to queue even if you buy the ticket in advance. When getting there for opening you are able to see all the shows which are very fun and informative and great entertainment. I don't usually like bird shows but the birds where really good to watch. No complaints at all.... Well except for getting a taxi back needs some organising. We got a taxi back at 4 and it was a free-for-all when trying to grab a cab. No organisinsation at all (not the park's fault)

Arranged a day out via the Tui rep at the hotel and everything went smoothly. I last visited over 25 years ago and was disappointed that little has changed, even though there are signs of a large expansion plan being put into place. There is a new dolphinarium which you access via an underground walk which takes you past the filtration plants and some very impressive special effects. There is also a very nice water park and swimming pool you can use during your visit with excellent changing facilities and toilets.
The biggest problem with this park is the chaotic layout, the park map is practically useless and you repeatedly come to dead ends which means there is no natural route around the park. They really need to take some lessons from Lorro Park in Tenerife or Oasis Park in Fuerteventura which take you round in a natural route so you see everything without aimlessly wondering about trying to find something you can see on the map but can't quite work how to get to.
We paid 30 euros each for entry including the coach transfer there and back. We took advantage of the restaurant in the middle of the park and the food price were surprisingly reasonable with a good size burger and a plate of chips coming in at just 4 Euros each and there were loads of other options available to pick from. Everything is cooked to order so is nice and fresh when you get it.
The birds of prey display is worth seeing, the sealion and dolphin shows less so, they are geared more towards pushing the educational message and conservation and I've seen better on my travels.
Would I go back - probably not, but this place has so much potential, especially if you have young kids who want to use the water park and spend a whole day there.
If they do something to sort the chaotic paths out so you naturally move from one area to another to catch the shows that would be an improvement.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review of the park, we always like to read our visitors reviews to work on ways to improve. We would like to start off by saying we are very sorry to read that you did not find much has changed. In the past few years we have made tremendous strides in our park, from adding our environmental cage with so much information about not only preserving our oceans but also explaining how our wonderful Canary Islands were formed, but also The dolphins, penguins, flamingos and otters which are some of the newest additions to the park that have joined us in most recent. We try to make big improvements every year including adding our splash area, making improvements to the animals enclosures and becoming super eco friendly with all the recycling bins, recycling awareness and using much less plastic. We also use our platform to have educational exhibitions for all the families and children to carry this hard work on to future generations. Our park is still relatively small and humble so we love that our visitors can explore the gardens and paths to find new and exciting things each time they come, but we still have sign posts all over guiding you where to go. Hopefully you change your mind in the future to come back and visit as we have such exciting projects ahead! We hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday. The Team at Rancho Texas.

I was amazed at this place , I booked up the seals interaction for my sons birthday as a surprise
It blew us away , what lovely affectionate animals they are.
I’ve swam with dolphins before in Florida but this beats that. Really really recommend , worth the money , you get a free pic plus for all pics taken it’s €20 on cd
The water wasn’t too bad either I was expecting it to be icy cold especially this time of year but it was very comfortable and none of us shivered once.
The actual park itself was good , we definitely needed the day there.
The water area was nice , a big pool , a splash park a small pool and then there are bigger slides you go down in rubber rings. Lots of fun for the kids ( and adults)
The food was unbelievable and so cheap
€5 for burger and chips , I was expecting a small burger but it was massive!
We had a free bus with the trip it was about half hour to the park from playa Blanca but seemed quicker coming back
My son wants to do the whole day again coz it was that good.

Came here with my family for a day out from costa teguise . Seeing all the animals was really nice my daughter loved the crocodiles . We would of loved to see them being fed . The eagle show was very good we all really enjoyed that , we didn’t manage to catch the sea lion show but we did see the trainer with him and other people . The trainer was amazing with the sea lion you could see there very special bond . The splash bit of the park was amazing to my daughter loved it . The food on park reasonably priced Aswell . I hate saying this but the dolphin show was to short and to many people were coming in when it was full and I think it should they should of closed it off because people were walking in front of my family and other family’s through the show so we couldn’t see . And the only other negative would be the coach to and from
The park . It was so busy and some people would be left behind and have to wait for next one ( I don’t know if this is the parks service or a private one) but we did enjoy our day there and I would recommend it to people as day out in Lanzarote :-)

A reasonable family day out. We’d return in the future but not for a few years. We saw the parrot, dolphin and sea lion shows that were good and if you wanted you could have a picture with the animals after. These animals appeared to be well looked after and in good condition. My view on the rest of the animals was that their enclosures weren’t particularly big and the animals didn’t look in the best condition (I’m sure they are though). The water park looked pretty good and an added bonus for a hot day. It’s difficult to judge the state of the park given the financial impact of covid-19 having not been before.

That said it was difficult for us not to compare to similar days out in Tenerife and Gran Canaria (Loro Parque and Palmitos Park) and Rancho Texas Park would rank number 3 on the list.

Having been to many animal parks, this one is up there with the better ones. The shows were very much what you'd expect from other similar parks but with some added facts about those specific animals. We bunched all the shows together back to back before grabbing some very reasonably priced food in the restaurant area. The portion sizes were really good and definitely value for money.

After the shows, we took a slow walk around the other animals in the heat, and were impressed with the enclosures and how well the animals looked like they were being looked after.

We didn't take in the water park area but it looked like there were plenty of happy faces enjoying it!
