Amazing property located in an old village in the periphery of Torino. Beautifully restored and transformed into a museum of contemporary art smartly run by Caroleen Christoff-Bakardjiev (curator of documenta, etc.). Great artworks specially created for the ancient rooms. Very good exhibitions.

This is our second visit to Rivoli and our impression from first visit was confirmed. This location is as well hidden as Louisiana Art Museum north of Copenhagen. The setting is unbelievable and the art is nicely blended with the setting. The buildings are out of this world and so nicely refurbished in synchronisation with the history and the new view of the world. The curators are doing a very successful job and when there you are inspired on all senses. Which I lived in Turin!

The castle has a fascinating history and is on a huge scale which helps to explain why it was never finished. I am not a huge fan of modern or contemporary art, but the artists must be thrilled to be given such large and inspiring spaces to display their work - some of which I just did not understand to be honest.

I have been to Castello di Rivoli many times since I was a child, and I always love to go back whenever I am with someone who has never been. The building is beautiful and has a lot of history. The art is secondary to me, although I always love seeing the horse hanging from the ceiling and Charlie. From the piazzale you also get great views of Rivoli all the way to Torino.
