Fabulous museum and on this weekend there was an Anglo Saxon enactment most interesting and as other reviewers have mentioned it's free. There is a small gift shop but no pressure to buy. If you do buy it's strictly cash only, no card's.
A truly lovely visit. Beautiful building and gardens with the exhibits thoughtfully and carefully displayed.

Excellent museum with tons of stuff inside a very lovely property. Even a large lawned garden space to the rear with a few surprises dotted around. And a block with a lot of horticultural themed items. Well worth a visit. Free admission too. It's smack...More
