Lovely place to visit.

Well what a surprise I had as when we got to the brewery, there was a treasure trove of gins from around the globe. ~170 gins!!! My husband said the beer we very good too.
The landlord was both engaging and informative, whilst continuing to acknowledge the regulars-the perfect balance.
We all had Sunday Lunch, which was just fabulous. Friendly, polite staff also helped make the visit a memorable occasion. I have to say the chips were sublime, the perfect choice of potato and cooked to perfection! A big well done to you and your team!!

great evening of Jazz
Aug 2017
Called for an early evening drink whilst being entertained by a 3 piece jazz ensembele. Good company, good atmosphere, great selection of ales, good service. No better way to spend an hour - or two!

Sunday Lunch was consumed. Selection of three meats. I opted for pork which was very good indeed. Served on mashed potatoes with roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pud. A very decent selection of vegetables that were cooked to perfection. Sauces and extra gravy were also brought to the table.
Service excellent.
The puddings were um, well, bloomin lovely!!
A very comfortable place and friendly.
I now need to return to sample the Gin Library - taxi!

Always a good selection of beers

This brewery has continued to develop over a number of years and now has a great standard range of beers, plus it always develops new brews for everyone to savour. Their on site bar the Bees Knees is well worth a visit if ever you get near.

Arrived here to a very warm welcome. The interior was very quaint and a very friendly atmosphere. The staff were excellent!
The number of beers available surprised me, however I am Gluten Free so settled for a nice fruit cider or two.
The food was very nice, presented well, Gluten Free and excellent value.
Some evenings there is entertainment, on my visit it was a medium evening with a clairvoyant.
Highly recommended. Dog friendly
I am looking forward to a return visit.

Great Beer, Good Food. Excellent Atmosphere
Jan 2016 • Friends
Sunday lunch washed down with a couple of pints of their own ale: Good quality food and the portion size is very good for someone with a healthy appetite.
Roast beef in thick slices, very tender and succulent. Was all 'well done' as this had been slow roasted. Home made Yorkshire Puddings stacked on top made for an attractive appearance. Served with creamy mash, roast potatoes (nice and crunchy) and a stuffing ball. Three vegetables where served on the side; carrots, cabbage and broccoli. A jug of extra gravy was provided and on offer, a selection of condiments as expected.
Service was prompt and friendly. Other diners enthused about the beef upon our arrival, so we went along with their suggestion :)

Plates could have been much hotter (just warm) as could the gravy jug. Veg was most definitely an accompaniment rather than an event. Personally, I prefer veg that has been prepared 'a bit fancy' when eating out - this was just boiled, as per standard. However, it was cooked to perfection with a bit of crunch.

Several puddings available, but no room after the adequate roast!

Beer, as ever is fantastic and a wide selection on offer.

Priced well. Will add this to my list of good spots for Sunday feasts.

It's the Bees Knees!

I love this place. A great micro-brewery which produces some fantastic beer - I'd recommend Roaring Megs!
We have been many times & its child friendly, often putting up bouncy castles & activities for them whilst the parents can chill out. Great themed activity weekends & good live music.

A great Micro brewery
Apr 2015 • Friends
This is a true micro brewery. They offer some wonderful bitters and lager style beverages. The atmosphere in Megs Bar is one of welcoming and fun. The furniture is eclectric which enhanses the abbience. The staff are knowledgeable and know their beers. Frequently the brewmaster will try a new mix and before inflicting it on the general public will have sampling and request comments
