A quirky and charming pub which is certainly little but with a large selection of beers from the cask, key keg and the chiller cabinet. We enjoyed having a good natter with the friendly barman. No unfined cask ales for me this time but I enjoyed a half of cider and a tasty Brass Castle 'Altogether IPA', brewed as part of a worldwide, open-ended beer collaboration to raise support for the hospitality industry.

What can you say about this micro pub, you will get to know everyone in Town, and enjoy the friendship of fellow ale and cheese lovers! The staff are so knowledgable, you'll have a PHD in real ale before you know it, and friendly too, to all, stranger or regular. Love it!

Although this micro pub is small (the fact that it is a micro pub is a clue!) it is baked with goodies. There are always a selection of excellent real ales on offer and a few ciders, sometimes they have real ciders but more often than not they seem to carry the better quality ones made from concentrates. Whatever your tipple the choices change frequently and then the pump clip is added to the collection displayed upon the wall.
The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly and will be more than pleased to tell you about the beers on offer although there is a useful menu board up with tasting notes on it.
As other reviewers have mentioned it can get cramped when busy but its a cosy cramped.
As an added interest, the "cellar" in a room off the main bar with a large window into it so you can see the barrels there on display.

Called in after a recommendation. Stick tables, regulars that looked you up and down as you entered, no ice and not a great range of beers. WNt bother again.

It feels like you are walking into someone's house when you walk in, Beerheadz has a homely atmosphere to it. It is nicely decorated and has good standing and sitting space, although it is pretty small compared to the average pub. They have a good choice of craft and cask ales but on our evening out in Retford we did taste better beer elsewhere. I'm sure on another visit there would be a better selection of beers. Definitely worth a visit for any beer lover while in Retford.

Whilst wandering around Retford I thought I would call in at BeerHeadz micropub and, needless to say, I am glad I did. The beer was on top form, the service was friendly and efficient and the pub itself had a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Will almost certainly be back.

A good selection for such a small (but cosy) place. They do have some fine tipples to try and more then happy to let you sample before you commit. The pricing is towards the upper end of the local spectrum but as long as you know you getting a drink you like it's all good. Turn up with 9 friends and you will all but fill the place, not a moan, it's part of the charm!

Fantastic choice of beer and great service. One of the best pubs in England. You even have the choice of a range of crackers and cheese on a Sunday. To get 5+ stars, please offer a lager on draft. Have you considered Adder, a great north east lager?

Have been here a few times in the past, nice selection of real ales and ciders, the mango and lemon and lime in particular, it's a small but quaint place, has it's regulars on certain days but to be honest it's worth a visit.... Even just the one... Needs outside seating as inside it could get a little cramped when busy, staff very friendly and will Always be on hand.

Been a few times after shopping in lovely Retford market or after visiting The Majestic Theatre. Always great choice of interesting ales & ciders. Cosy with a warm atmosphere.
