Most of this 2.5 km walk round the palm groves, marked on tourist maps, is along pavements and roads. Better to wander in the groves themselves. We thought the nicest part was the Parc Municipal which has informative notices in English about particular specimens.

Most enjoyable time spent walking around this park. Interesting to learn that every variety of palm tree in the world is in this park. Well worth a look and worth the cost. Buy some dates before you leave.

If you are a visitor to the long Costa Blanca beaches around Alicante, you should not miss the interesting little town of Elche (Elx). Maybe not very many visitors know that Elche has two (2) World Heritage attractions. The first is rather obvious: palm trees...More

Great little park, with beautiful palms and cactus. Plus the added attraction of white peacocks. Quite a small park but a great way to pass a few hours.

Amazing that the whole city is surrounded by palms with the park running through the City. Palm trees everywhere and even a “palm” fountain/water feature.

It is really amazing to see the palm trees everywhere in Elche and outside the city. More than 200,000! There is a great view from the Basilica's tower, it gives a good ideea about the presence of these trees.

We spent an hour and a half wandering through these lovely gardens on a beautiful November day. Unusual palms and cacti and pools with ducks and koi carp.

Nicely maintained palm grove. Avoid the wedding photos parties. See ducks and peacocks. Learn a little more about palm trees.

€3 entry per over 60, otherwise its €5. Thanks to the Moors, this 1000 year old garden wouldn’t exist. There’s no official parking area so it’s street parking or one of the underground ones as this garden is slap in the middle of town. A...More

Yes, an hour would be plenty for the Huerta del Cura part which has an admission fee of about 3 euros. Otherwise the part of the palm forest round the back of the tourist information office is a free public park with... More
