Wild and lovely beach

A beach in its natural state. Lots of families in one section of the beach. Nudists in more remote areas of the beach. Good swimming, no food stands at this beach.

Very nice beach. It is very wide, with sand dunes and all. A lot of water sport activity as well. Not so good for small kids

A beautiful stretch of untamed beach that goes on for miles, backed by lush green vegetation and sand dunes, themselves backed by lagoons. There isn't a building in sight other than the lighthouse. Perfect for a relaxing day of swimming and lazing.

Great, enormously huge and beautiful beach - amazing experience for those in favor of natural beaches. We went there in August'15 twice. First with the public transport (b106 from Montpellier, station Place de France) to Le Grau Du Roi and than rented there a bike (10 euro for a day). Be aware the total trip takes about 2,5 hours one... More

10km of fine white sand, peaceful areas, a couple of food outlets, calm seas in summer, what is not to like! There are a few car parks. The first which is closest to Grau du Roi is the busiest, and FREE! The walk is longest to tge sea, but it is a nice beach. The second is €6 to park,... More

We visited Espiguette twice in the last week and enjoyed our time greatly. The sand is gorgeous and the water is crystal clear - we could see fish swimming around our feet. The first time the water was very calm and cold, a couple of days later it was rougher with strong currents and beautifully warm. There is no shade... More

Fantastic, long sandy wild beach. Although really busy when we went there was room for everyone. Has not changed much since I was last there in 1982 !

Great beach. The pictures do it justice. Parking is easy and there are lots of places. Quick walk from the parking lot to the beach and then it's up to you where to go. Sand sand and more sand. Kid heaven. Waves are gentle and sea is shallow for quite a while. Perfect.

Not that easily accessible without a car, but well worth a visit. Such a pleasant experience, and water was nice and warm. Recommended

My wife is a huge fan of the "trip to the beach" and normally I dread the time spent just lying around. This time though I have to say I enjoyed it. First of all the beach itself was clean and (from what I could tell) 100% sand, no pebbles here that lead to you hopping and skipping your way... More
