This is a very interesting building both from the outside and inside. The free exhibitions are varied and there is enough to keep one busy for several hours. Simple coffee shop with lovely view over the gardens. We found the parking easy and enjoyed the visit.

Modern and comtemporary in design and beautifully manage exhibits to allow you space, time and a sence of place to assimilate the exhibits on show. It is also free with the opportunity to make a donation - not forced or stressed. Tips. Use the clockroom, no umbrellas will be allowed. Plus no touching however tactile a stone or marble appears.... I think for me the museum layout was some of the most impressive part. It feels like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. However, it's also got a really interesting collection and some fun visiting exhibits. Not much else to do in Lens, but if you're willing to make the trip out it's a very cool place to visit!

Wonderful: building and setting are amazing, collection is minimalistic but spot on and the approach is educationally top. One comment: it is hard to find by car and even harder to find the right parking entrance.

Every part just the same as the home museum in Louvre, Paris. Parking dreadful. But it's well worth the long walk if you can't park nearby.

Unique. Inspiring. Architecturally a must see. Free! But make a donation, it's worth it. Easy parking.

Though this museum lacked a lot of big names like larger museums have, but we enjoyed having the variety of items in a compact area. Sometimes big museums feel completely overwhelming; at the Louvre-Lens, we got to see a lot of variety but not have the mass of 100 items from ancient Egypt. This was great as my husband and... Interesting changing collection well displayed in a chronological time line. One big main hall displays everything so rather than walk through rooms, you can wind and weave your way from side to side. Good lighting. Most objects displayed in the round. Predominantly sculpture including some fabulous early Egyptian pieces. Felt like there should be more...

Ample free parking in the proximity of the museum. Very quiet on a Monday morning. The building is an interesting low-rise, more of a glamourous warehouse. The intention of the architects looks obvious, some nice features in glass and shiny metals, but it lacks soul and spirit. Timeline and mirror exhibitions are free. Audio guide did not prove to be... Very modern equipped museum! It is not huge but very useful especially for the children who start to learn about history. Amazing guides and not to forget - free admission! plenty of free parking sports around this museum. Very much recommended.
