Dahanu Fort is about 2 kms from the main dahanu beach. Not much to do here, no activities. You can visit if you have some spare time and like histological places, or you could skip and spend some more time at the beach instead ;)

This fort is a symbol of rich history in this place. There have been many who visited this fort, but for me its always different to visit any historic site. It gives a sight into the past.

I had visited this Fort with my friends during our Dahanu trip. It is located at a distance of 2km from Dahanu beach. The fort has been converted into Tehsildar office. We were allowed inside but nothing much to see except the 2 cannons at the main entrance where we clicked pics.

Grup of frends on a day picnic to dahanu beach also thought of visiting the dahanu fort which is now made into a police station maybe thts the reason y it's still being maintained n not crumbling like many other historical monuments.

What was even more surprising than Dahanu having a lovely fort was that it is now used by the local administration as offices. It even has a jail! I would recommend checking it out.

There's nothing there except a small structure with 2 cannons at the gates. The structure is not being used as a school.
