Had Sunday lunch with friends, had the 3 meat version and got Lamb, Beef and Pork, bit of a mixed bag to be honest.
Plated was Beef, Lamb & Pork, Yorkshire Pudding, 3 Roast Potatoes, Stuffing Ball and 1 Parsnip, yes just one thin overcooked Parsnip.
Beef was a bit tough, tasted great but was difficult to cut and chew, Lamb was just OK, Pork was fantastic, Yorkshire Pudding was excellent and the gravy was amazing !!
My daughter ordered lamb and was given beef, being a kid she didn't notice until I tried a bit, perhaps you could say her pallette wasn't great or the meat wasn't so great, maybe a little of both.
Service was hit and miss depending on who you got, 2 out of the 3 people who served us were nice, the 3rd shouldn't be let out in public.
What was frustrating was the ordering, 3 of our party ordered food, 10 minutes later, sorry we don't have that, 1 ordered something else, 10 minutes later, sorry we don't have that, if you don't have something, tell us before or during the ordering.
Overall it was OK, let down by tough meat, poor service,

We ate and stayed at The Queen Catharine. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The evening menu was adequate and the food was fine. The cooked breakfast, fruit juice, coffee was very good. We weren’t offered any cereals, toast and jam etc but then we didn’t ask for them either so perhaps they are available. Our room was ‘compact’ but it is an old building and had everything we needed including an en suite. The bed was comfortable and we could adjust the heating as we required. As regards other comments about the church clock chiming we were in Rm2 and only heard it as a very quiet sound when we were awake. Recommend the walk (no vehicle access) up to The Lady Chapel, beautiful.

Two of us plus our dog were made to feel safe and welcome when we called in for lunch. Lots of appropriate attention to virus precautions and procedures. We had a sandwich and a jacket potato, which were well presented and good value for money. Efficient and friendly staff.

This pub disregards Social Distancing advice ! We returned to the area for a walk and tried this pub to see if it had improved any since our last visit. We saw people having to push between clumps of people. The tables were not even kept clean and so it is actually risking the health of all who go there, big-time!

This pub is poor. You cannot just order a bowl of chips, which is rare in many pubs and especially when you spend a lot of money each week on drinks in the establishment. On a Saturday night they have ran out of steak and chicken Parmesan at 8pm! Poor food, ok for a drink.

We rang this pub to see if they were doing food that evening and were told that they were. So we asked if we needed to book a table & were told that we didnt have to, and that we should just come along. We arrived less than half an hour later only to be told, that the kitchen was extremely busy and we'd have to wait at least an hour before we would be served. We cannot understand why we weren't advised that they were busy when we rang earlier. When we asked this question the lady behind the bar just shrugged and didn't seem bothered.

We visited The Queen Catherine on good Friday ( 19/4/19) it was so busy we have never seen it so busy before. We had drinks and food outside. very chilled atmosphere and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We were very pleased to see this place all done up and given a freshen up. We were very pleased with our home made steak and ale pies. Cannot wait to return.

8 of us had booked for lunch on Saturday . No room in the bar so we walked into the dining room. We had our little dog with us . Before we could ask anyone if this was ok the chef ran out of the kitchen , very rudely shouted " no dogs in the restaraunt , then slammed the kitchen door ! Just no need for this attitude ! The owner David isn't much better . Such a shame as e are locals from the village who like to support our businesses in the village but won't be giving our hard earned cash to these guys any more . Golden lion & three tunns for us in future where you get a warm welcome !

We popped in for a couple of pints mid afternoon and after a country walk with the kids. We decided to have tea after checking the menu out. I asked if I needed to book and the friendly landlord advised we do so, we booked a table for 8 people for 7 o'clock. We all turned up and chose a mixture of three cheese chicken parmo and Lasagne for adults and good sized kids meals for the boys. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We will definitely return. Oh and free WiFi.
