    Mida Creek Day trip
We did the full day Mida Creek adventure. The snorkeling and seeing the dolphins was great, the boatmen were great and friendly. Take a towel to sit on, as the hard wooden seats are uncomfortable after a while. Also not happy about using the common snorkel, that are washed in the sea water. I was not impressed with the seafood lunch. I think there are different tours, so I can't say that applies to ALL the tours. If you don't eat seafood, don't do the lunch. Also there wasn't really enough food, it was adequate, but certainly not overly satisfying. Tiny little prawns, and small, small lobsters, the squid was not nice, hard and rubbery, and there were no accompaniments whatsoever. No salad, just a lump of what they called coconut rice and a veg sauce. And warm drinks. Did not enjoy the village dancing after the lunch, it's ok for tourists, I suppose, but then comes the "magic box" which is for tips. Its awkward, and then the coffee guy offers you freshly ground coffee, and once you say yes, he charges you a 100/= for a teeny weeny plastic cup. RIP off!! Next time I will do the half day trip and skip the lousy lunch.

    Dhow Sunset Sail a Must
Perfect end to a tropical day. Swimming in clear water, drinks under sail and sunset views. We took a smaller private dhow but larger shared boats available as well.

    Safari Blu con Fragola
Abbiamo fatto visita a Mida Creek grazie all' escursione Safari Blu organizzata da Fragola.

We took a boat tour to mida creek, reroute we enjoyed dolphin viewing and a bit of snorkelling.

But the lunch at the creek was the icing on the cake..the crew grilled fresh seafood served with cold drinks and we had a chance to explore the creek on canoe ad get interesting facts from the fishermen . It was good fun for everyone. We booked our tour through Jerry +254725817318

Hats off to the chef. Try the sea food platter if you can. You shan't be disappointed. Grilled chicken was also quite tasty. The food takes a little while to prepare but it well worth the wait.

Ask a local fisherman to take you fishing then give him half the catch and take the rest back to the hotel and get the Chef to make fish and chips 'the English way' You wont get a better meal.

We are a family of five people who went on the tour end December 2021. We really enjoyed the tour and we especially enjoyed being taken on the tour by Hassan. He was an excellent guide who really had lots of knowledge and interest in the flora and fauna. He was also very positive and kept everyone in a good spirit, especially our seven year old who kept singing/making the same noises as Hassan for the rest of our trip. Hassan took off before we were able to tip him for his excellent guiding but we would like to recommend him and the tour here instead.

Great visit on a small boat in the mangrove. All the trees are amazingly beautiful with their roots in the water. We also went on a dhaw to have sundowners. It was a marvelous moment.

At golden hour I walked the boardwalk at the creek. Stunning views, beautiful creek. I did not take a boat at the creek but I heard you can canoe there and I saw people swimming and enjoying themselves.

We went there the 2nd time but first time with our children.

Made following activities:
- for the little ones (10 and 11) we mad a canoe tour, starting from the crab shack, one hour, perfect Programme for them
- my wife did a three hour kayak tour with the others, organized from the tree house
- all together, for the 2nd time, we went on a floating trip from the tree house , on the way back we walked though the mangrove forests

What should we comment? All activities where great and it is known that Mida creek is a little paradise on earth. Our floating this time, by the way, was the reverse floating , we preferred the original one starting in the mangroves. However, the current is at is...
