I would repeat all the other comments about greens, fairways and decrepit cart paths. To that I would add the fact that you can’t drive your cart on most of the fairways on the old course. I have some minor mobility issues, so I need to use a cart. Constantly having to drive alongside the fairways without being able to see the location of your ball pretty much negates the point of using a cart. If you need to use a cart to play a round of golf, do not even consider coming to this course.

So sad to see such a historic course become derelict. We were looking forward to playing but we were disappointed by its very poor state. Sand traps have grass growing in them. Cart paths are crumbled. Fairways are bald in places. Greens were fun to play and were in the best shape of most things but still sub par for a championship course. The clubhouse is old and neglected. I won’t be back until they do a major overhaul and get a new greens keeper. A banner in the clubhouse talks about playing here… one of Canada’s premier courses. We’ll it’s not even close. For what you pay there are a dozen other courses (red deer and north) in far better shape and cheaper.

Played the Links Course of which the back nine is best described as almost a cow pasture while the front nine was slightly better but still had the move the ball on every fairway to find some green grass. The back nine fairways had many large brown patches and the greens were much the same. Not what I would call a resort course by any stretch of the imagination. Cart paths are dusty dirt paths so I am glad it did not rain. Beverage cart showed up only once when we were on the 16th hole almost finished our round. I won't be back and wouldn't recommend it as there are plenty of other better courses at better rates.

If I was able give this course a zero I would have. They charge you $85..full fees for a course that is best described as a donkey track. If you want a separate golf cart because of Covid concerns you must pay $40 verses $20. The greens look like they have a fungus in them, they are bald, extreme dry patches. Fairways haven’t been groomed in a week or more. Some tee boxes, Silver, you couldn’t even get you tee in the ground. The washrooms smell awful and are disgusting. Save your money and go to Innisfail to play.

Very disappointing. Used to be a high end golf course. Poor customer service, driving range is in need of serious improvement and balls that aren’t years old and many different colours. Club house is very dated and had to ask for cart keys, and a score card and I felt I was bothering pro shop staff. Old power carts that screeched every time we pressed on gas. Several greens were nearly dead on the Links course and had been aerated a month before and were still not grown in. I would have thought that this many years in they would have better cart paths, not sand paths. Definitely not worth the money. Not even any tees in the slots on power carts. Really cutting corners. Halfway house food was practically none existent.

Have to agree with others that the links course did not meet my expectations. Played it today, sept 26,2021 and it is no resort course. Greens were rough, recently aerated but had dead spots in some of them. Poor marking of yardages and no gps in carts now so qith more than a few blind tee shots you have no idea on distance or direction of hazards except the crude drawing on the scorecard. Clubhouse is fine anf lounge good but I came to play the course and wont be back to play the links course again, it is worth half that price.

I was excited to play here as I heard so much about it a while back. It was so disappointing. We played the links and the cart paths were terrible, the geens were in rough shape, in general the upkeep was terrible. The clubhouse smelled musty and old and my husband said the smell in the men's washroom was disgusting. I will never play here again unless they do a major upgrade.

This place is awful.. just so you know the owners are broke. They are trying to sell the place but the clubhouse is falling apart. The kitchen is peiced together so the roof doesnt fall in your food. Its ran by a guys whos own restaurant failed cause he doesnt know how to run a safe cooking area. There are 100's of better golf courses. Stay away from wolf creek golf resort

We paid $80 to golf a dog track it was in horrible condition. It is quite obvious that this course was built in order to develop the real estate around it as they have not put any money into the actual course. If your smart you will just stay away, golf in Lacombe for $59 now that is a nice course.
