This indoor theme park is quite small but offers a few thrilling rides for the more adventurous folks. There are also mild rides suitable for young children. Some games with winning prizes of huge plush toys are at additional cost. Queue for the rides are generally quite fast especially during dinner time.

This indoor theme park is colourful, fun and priced quite fairly. While the range of rides isn't the big (it's an indoor theme park after all) you do get good value for what you pay.
The rides that I tried were good and the roller coaster was a highlight. The biggest downside was that there were a few rides that were closed at the time, meaning that we couldn't try everything. You probably won't spend all that long here, but if you're staying in Genting it is perhaps worth some of your time.

Over crowded. Good rides but be prepared to stand in serpentine cues for a single ride. The Halloween celebration was average and could have been done without extra charges.
No point going for unlimited rides package as you will never be able to get on all rides.
We opted for this only because it was raining and we were not able to do the outdoor SkyWorlds Theme Park.

We were there with teen kids and younger children for our Sept Holidays. Honestly it felt like a regular night park where kids play teacup games etc. The rides were a long wait at least an hour but thats fine but so many rides were closed! We felt that the tickets were not worth. Its like buying a ticket for a theme park that has either lame games for 3 year olds or closed games. Even the VR corners were not opened. We reached there at 2pm and done at 5pm. Queuing time was about 2 hrs in total. Played about 5 games only. The rest were really for 3 to 4 year old. We also realized that you could actually pay per ride in indoor theme park instead of booking tickets online and pay a hefty amount. Each games cost about RM 13 only. Would have been value for money. Wasted trip to indoor theme park. Had zip line but you have to pay separately. Oh cmon. Not worth taking a flight down for kids holidays.
Tower ride has 2 machines. But only 1 was working. Not sure why the other wasn't operating. Took 80min waiting time for this ride. Please do not book online and pay in sgd. Come to the park yourselves and if you want to play you pay per ride.
Management should have shared about closed rides before we purchase tickets

I love rides and theme park so I really wanted to visit Skytropolis. This indoor theme park is within the mall and there is no main entrance to enter. Once you are in the mall, you are free to walk around and see other people taking rides.
The rides have 3 levels, level 1 for children rides, level 2 which is for older children & adults and level 3 which is more extreme. I love that you do not need to purchase a ticket just to enter the park. You can also choose to buy a ticket for 1 particular ride of your choice. We bought the combo ticket for SkyWorld and Skytropolis unlimited on Klook because it was cheaper.
I would recommend this park for families and couples to enjoy. I definitely will come back to visit Skytropolis again!

So The Genting highlands zipline's final stop is at SKY Avenue, and we went to indoor theme park Skytropolis. At this lifestyle mall, there are plenty of places to buy, eat, and play. At SkyAvenue, which features more than 100 brands and stores, you can get everything from basic necessities to priceless jewelry, watches, shoes, gadgets, and more. Visit Skytropolis Indoor Park, which is a colorful wonderland with more than 20 unique attractions, for a break from the norm.
Even an indoor zipline experience is available here! I advise trying this one if you're scared of heights but still want to try!
In this mall, if you're lucky, you might catch some live performances. Whatever level of excitement you want, Skytropolis has something to offer everyone. The traditional merry-go-rounds and bumper car rides are fun for kids.
From 2 PM to 9 PM every day, Skytropolis is open. Friday to Sunday are the busiest days. Weekends have high rush hours, so it is best to avoid crowds by going early on weekdays. We spend nearly three hours in the mall and indoor park here. So if you are planning to try these rides, take your return ticket from Genting highlands accordingly.

The time when I went to Skytropolis, I think about a a half-ish of the rides were closed off due to construction works. However, it was a pretty fun experience anyway. Nothing very special about it though, although there is a zipline across the entire theme park but only for small kids (not exceeding 1.75m in height). The admission fee is reasonable and I suggest paying for the one-day or two-day package rather than just paying for individual rides.

We consider ourselves theme park specialists as we’ve been to most of the major theme parks around the world including Asia - Hong Kong Disney and Singapore Universal Studios. This is the worst, most confusing ticket price structure I have seen. There’s about 4 sections each individually priced. Then you get offered combos only to find out that this is restricted to a few attractions per section. The VR section has individually priced rides where one can top up as you go. This is frustrating as you cannot get a refund if you decide you had enough. Staff seem like they do not really want to be there. Save yourself the money and stay in KL city- much more to see and value for money. If you really need to go to a theme park- pay the extra money to go the Singapore US.

This is the worst place i have ever been and will never be back, 80% of the day was spent in queues. they are happy to take your money, but there are no staff anywhere, the rides are terrible, and you queue 1 to 1.5 hours for the `pleasure `I queued 1.5 hours for the bumper cars, only to be told at the front my kid was too small to go on. there was no signs other than at the front so had no idea as there is only 1 staff who basiclly does everything, there should be queue marshalls.
people jumping the queue others have a single family member stand in line only for another 10 of them to show up as the queuer gets to the front.
I have nothing positive at all to say, highly disappointing as Genting is so famous

You needn't purchase an entrance ticket; which includes rides in all the attractions (but some of them are suitable for small children) Therefore, better you select the rides and purchase tickets for that ride. only. Also, if your visit is during school holidays or national holiday better get the priority basis so that you do not waste time in a long queue.

Business sense. Skytropolis is but an indoor theme park. Genting is spending 5 billion on the refurbishment & there have been extensions after extension of datelines. Outdoor is still a mess. They would like to launch a huge opening ceremony once all are ready. Advance tickets are not encouraged, & usually for the limited days of use only. April, is off peak so the queue is not like half an hour or more. Try book these on site but look out for discounts & freebee. Remember, money in your own pockets are yours until these are placed into someone else - often, just buy these tickets as an when required. There are also a few outlets for these tickets purchases (usually just next to the rides) because this place is really quite big & can be a distance to walk.
I intend to buy 3 preview tickets for my children. But for adults, I’m not sure who want to accompany the kids, some rides i may ask daddy/maid to ride with the kids. Can the tickets be shared?

No. The tickets are not allowed to be shared between accompanying adults.

Does my son 2yrs 6 mnths still need to buy the pass to enter skytropolis? Is it the price same as adult?
Josephine
Jakarta, Indonesia69 contributions
No need to buy entering tix, everyone can pass through it. Better check if your son allowed to play which rides, as far as i know most if the rides are for 12yrs n above. And the guards are really strict about the rules n height. Ask first before you wasting money.

I’m planing to go up to RWG next weekend for a day trip and I’m wondering if it’s worth it to get the Preview Pass for Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park?

HI,
Its worth if you have smaller kids and if all rides are operational, better check if all the rides are operational before purchase , when we went lot of rides were under maintenance that's disappointing and the staff are very rude
Hi when will the roller coaster (sugar glider) open?
