First time taking a cable car to Genting! I would say what a memorable experience. It was foggy towards the top but the view up was spectacular! I would recommend buying an express ticket (it costs only RM6 more than a standard) as the queue is almost not existent on express. Standard queue was really long and I believed waiting time was more than 45 mins! We bought the express ticket and immediately boarded the cable car!

This is the most efficient and economical way to travel between the Genting Premium Outlets Shopping Mall and the Genting Mall on the peak of the mountain. A 2-way ticket costs only RM18 per person, whereas a 1-way ticket costs RM10 per person. And you get to enjoy the scenery along the way. Highly recommended!

Fun experience for the kids. It is also a good access for people staying at Genting and wanting to do some shopping at the Genting Premium Outlets.

If you can afford it, I say top up the extra and go for the priority tickets if you see a crowd Q-ing to get on, Our fellow travelers bought the regular tickets and waited more than an hour to get onto a cable car while we were whisked through.

If you are traveling from KL by express bus, this attraction is pretty much a forced experience. They'll drop you and pick you up from the lower station and you must traverse the skyway to get to the resort. This is a perfectly fine and reasonably priced skyway otherwise. The views of the Buddhist temple and SkyWorlds are particularly nice, but there's nothing else that makes this better than other sky rides around the world. Another point of note is the frequent cloud cover here. The trip down was completely shrouded in clouds with a visibility of about 10 feet. Not much one can do about that, but just a point to note. You'll probably do this because you have to and it's a pleasant trip.

Short but wonderful ride with beautiful views all around. The cable car ride has long queues when busy especially during the weekend. Buy the express ticket at RM16 (SGD$5 / USD$3) to avoid the long queues. A great ride to enjoy for couples and families.

Took the gondola ride to the Premium Outlet. Was an amazing experience with good scenery along the journey. The ride was smooth and you won't feel much of the bumps when it reaches a pylon.

Recommended for people who goes to Genting Highlands to take the ride. One trip costs RM9, while a return to-and-fro trip costs RM16.

They sell the ticket by machine now but there is also an option at the counter if you are a tourist and you prefer cash or to buy a luggage fee, luggage fee is when you bring the medium to large luggage to the gondola. We ride both the standard and glass floor gondola. Honestly it feels the same, just that when you take photo it is better with glass floor because there is more view included in the picture. I can say that the ticket are cheap for both type. RM15 return for standard and RM35 return for glass floor.

It was a tuesday afternoon and there were no queues for tickets to get to the top. The ticketing guy was super friendly and courteous. There was a glass gondola or the standard gondola to choose for our journey up. Spectacular views accompanied us both ways. My daughter and I found it so easy to get to the Awana Sky Avenue Station. As we stayed at Gentings Resort World Hotel (also known as Awana Golf and Country Resort) there was a free shuttle bus to the skyway station. This is also where the Gentings Premium Outlets are and one can shop till you drop! The view going up was clear but as we ascended further fog covered most of the highland. We stayed a few good hours, shopped, had an early dinner and descended in our gondola just my girl & I around 8.30pm. The moon lit night gave us a spectacular performance. I sang "O What A Night" in the gondola as we did not have to share it with anyone else.

Unfortunately it was raining and cloudy the day we went but we decided to get the clear bottom gondola. As it turned out, although the extra view below wasn't worth the money, not many people were in the queue for it so we didn't have to wait as long. The only thing is they don't have as many. About 1 in 6.

On our way up, we could only see for about 25 meters as it was extremely windy and the clouds just kept rolling in.

Got as high as 1700 meters.

Decided we would stop at the Chin Swee Temple on the way back as we hoped it would clear up a bit.

It gets very busy from about 2pm with people going up for the evening. While it was still busy in the morning, the queues were lengthy later in the day.
