The scenery here is really beautiful. It is very lively with the presence of people. The hotel is very big and has many shops that sell a variety of goods. Here are also many entertainment centers for adults and children. is recommended for visitors to visit this hotel

When last went here, we had a lot of fun. Walked around a lot but can be explored in a day. Now its so big that you can't.

One of the main reason people who don't gamble went to Genting was to feel the cold air and that is gone. I dont even see any exit the whole day we went there. Only fresh air we got was at the First World hotel lobby and that was more bus smoke than fresh air.

In the end, if we wanted to go to theme park, there's a lot more choices we can go to. Shopping? Just go to the premium outlet mall downhill.

No reason to go here anymore.

Also, the directory is not good, we cannot find what we are looking for and there are no one to help - information counter is small and too sparse in this big place.

The new First World Plaza is practically unrecognizable. Its chic, lively and is still in its completion phase. There are a ton of shops to choose from. I splurged on Lovisa. On the second level, many food eateries. BMS organic is an amazing vegetarian restaurant (is a little pricy) but well its organic. If you are looking for free wifi, check out Cafe Richards. Buy yourself a drink and access unlimited wifi. I love the coffee menu at Cafe Richard and the outdoor seating is quite amazing. Other food cuisines on the second level includes, Spanish (La Fiesta... i think), Italian (Motorino... for Pizza), Din Tai Fung, IIao IIao, Burgers and Lobsters and tons more. The fourth level has a got Paparich, Malaysian food street with many stalls. You do need to purchase a prepaid card to buy food from the Malaysian food street. Just out of Malaysian Food Street, there is Dal Komm cafe. Did not get a chance to try it... hopefully next time.

The cinema at the First World Plaza (Level 2) is amazing. Caught the night time show for The Hitmans Bodyguard. Good sound system. Cable Car is on the fourth level.

The only thing missing is the theme park. Cant wait for the next opening. An ideal period of stay for a family would be 2 nights as there are limited activities for kids (Bowling, arcade).

Quick Tip: Genting is high up on the mountains. The journey to Genting Highlands may not be smooth one. Do bring a long your necessary medications/ supplies if you are prone to nausea etc. Being plugged with music helps me with the ride both to and fro.

The mall feels so private around the time I went there as there were fewer people, which my family and I like it but it was crowded at the Indoor theme park. So, I guess people came here really just for the park and also you'll see crowds at the food places. Love the rooftop outdoor food streets concept as we can enjoy the cold air there~ Cool place to relax and chill and sip a hot chocolate or so in the refreshing cold air (but of course they have indoor areas, too).

That is one of biggest malls. Come on there is an indoor theme park over there. When we visited few days earlier they were preparing Christmas ornament. M telling it will be something worth seeing. So if you go there now I guess you will be amazed of what you will see. From there you can cross to the hotels and the casino. It's just walking distance

The place had changed from a theme park, a place for getaway to a mall. I don’t get why go to a mall on the hill? The air ventilation is not as great as before and it’s not as cold as before. The small theme park is like a fun fair in a shopping centre, every game is about spinning and you will get dizzy after playing 5 games. I’ve been going to Genting every year since I was a kid, I would say the whole indoor Vibe had lost and it’s becoming more and more commercial.

Please take note that First world plaza shops like (marybrown, believe it or not, Kenny Rogers etc) have been moved to sky avenue level 4...

Good time to explore genting again because changes have been made and still they are improving.

Take note that Indoor and outdoor Theme park is still under construction.

There’s a bona cinema right beside sky casino.

Snow world is currently closed and inaccessible at the moment, which is a real bummer because it's such a great experience nonetheless! The first world plaza was previously a very heavy themed plaza with lots of exciting entertainments such as Snow World, Ripley's believe it or not, a Haunted house ride and many other fun indoor games. It's really a shame that it's closed now and replaced by the Genting SkyAvenue instead, which is essentially just your typical luxurious shopping mall with really nothing special to see.

I came to First World Plaza thinking I can chill out/shop/gamble a bit, but their casino rules are so illogical. The casino forbids anyone in with a backpack, shopping bags, mask, sunglasses, tank top, flip flops...etc. I can understand the dress code part, but no backpack and sunglasses? The tourists are here visiting you, so why not backpacks and shopping bags? The majority of tourists uses backpacks because we can put our wallets, passports, cameras, souvenirs we bought from the stores next door inside, and yet you won't let us in? Why build all the stores within the plaza if you don't allow bags inside? Then give us lockers to put them inside!

I was ready to spend money gambling and yet you turned good visitors away. You let people, who might not even spend any gambling money, in because they didn't carry a backpack- what a stupid strategy.
