Even though we didn't ski we had been to Etna several times on the other side based in Nicolosi, this time we decided to change.
Given the not exactly wintry temperatures, there was little snow with the lifts closed but it went more than well to keep the children entertained.
The naturalistic context is very beautiful, parking is 3 Euros per day, everything like the bar is a little expensive but that's normal.

In the snowy season there are no organised sightseeing tours - the facility is entirely devoted to skiing and snow activities. There’s a shuttle bus from Linguaglossa leaving at 8am and returning at 4.30pm. But if you’re not skiing what would you do all this time? I guess if you have your own car you could drive up and take a peek, but I don’t think think you could venture very far.

Today I stop in the shop “La Capannetta” to rent skis, 4 hours in a row, without having any news, (at some point they closed the door and talked to us through a glass) after four hours, after repeated requests, to know if there was availability, the arrogant and grumpy lady replies that everything was finished....
Not to mention they were letting people in through the back...
