The Imbassaí beach is one of the most beautiful northern coastline of Bahia. A river that flows into the sea and several coconut trees. A peaceful and quiet place. If travelling in low season can have the whole beach only for you, as we have had . You can ride a bike or small boats and enjoy the restaurants. Try the local fried fish called vermelho ( red ).

I really enjoy every year to visit Imbassai. The town is doing a lot to live up to its reputation as a quiet and nice town now with many bicycle lanes and great posadas to acceptable prices. I find the mixture of river and sea beaches so nice and exciting and it is even possible to go on a little boat from one side of the river to the other side. The bars are in the middle so you can be served both at the seaside and the riverside. It is not exciting food, but good plain Bahia food with lots of seafood of course. The beers are always ice cold which I love.

It has everything to be the paradise. The river, the sea, the forest... but there is garbage everywhere and the solution to get rid of them is to burn it ????!!!! I open air along the paths

The Imbassaí Beach is located in Mata do São João and to get there you have to take a raft.It is well known for the encounter of the river and the sea. It is paradisiac, beautiful, calm and it is a great place to go with friends and family. You can go kayaking, stand up paddle, paramotor and buggy ride with affordable prices. You can also eat typical food and drink different drinks.

When I visited this beach with my family, I loved it. It is a very nice place. I stayed in a kiosk with a sea view. Simply incredible! I also took advantage of bathing in the sea and river, in spite of the sea being very agitated. So you have to be very careful. After this ate a delicious typical food.

I highly recommend the Imbassaí Beach. It is very good for those who like to relax or have fun without spending too much.It is very safe and best time to go in the summer(high season). It is ideal for taking children or going to with friends or family.

If you're looking for a big sandy beach, this is it!. Lots of beach, lots of ocean waves to play in and little beach restaurants to plant yourself at that serve pretty much any of the usual Bahia beach fare plus cocktails. Very mellow and relaxed!

A nice long sandy beach, with good places to eat local food. The ocean is alittle rough for youngsters, but there is the river they can go in and have lots of fun !

This beach has some construction going near where the Imbassai river meets the ocean, so it is a bit noisy and ugly at first but once you pass that, as I went right at sunset (behind the beach) the colors of the sand, sea and rivers where changing and beautiful. There was a wedding shoot which made it even nicer, and a local guy riding on his horse on the beach. There is a good infrastructure in hotels, condos for rent, and restaurants. Plus the river meanders parallel to the ocean for a bit giving this a bit of a Florida canal feel but under a Bahian sun ;) Enjoy.
