We were there for the afternoon to visit the Tamar proyect. Loved it and loved the village, pintoresque and streets and shops. Certainly worth a visit. They told us to stay on the Main Street for safety which we did, it didn't feel insecure at any time. We left at nightfall to return to our hotel that was a few... More

Praia do Forte is a very pretty and exiting place to go to!...The village seems touristy but nice. In the beginning of the beach you find a port, a bit further you have an opportunity to snorkel, but I would recommended to walk for another 10-20 minutes along the coast. There you'll find amazing quiet parts. Waves can be sometimes strong,... More

The place is a touristic icon for the south beaches of Salvador. Still it`s worth the visit and even if you can a stay for some days as it`s a beautiful beach with a nice, very well integrated with the nature village. very warm feeling all around. Has some interesting typical local handwork and a preservation of the manatee wildlife... More

Little town, nice shops, nearby not so crowded beaches, warm sea, perfect for swimming and surfing in nearby areas, safe and with great restorants to choose. It worth a visit but rent a tour or a car. To go by public bus take 2 hours.

Praia do Forte is a small and beautiful village about 65 km north of Salvador da Bahia with a wonderful beach. The beach has lots of corals and you can do some fun snorkling in the natural pools!

Loved the beaches, the natural pools are wonderful. We managed to see fish just snorkeling alongside the shore. The little town has its magic and it's definitely a place we will revisit in the future

Not crowded, plenty of coconut trees, warm water... Nice to walk, nice hotels, recommend!!! Iberostar hotels are a good place to stay at. They have good infrastructure for young and/or elderly
