Beautiful

Great and sooo beautiful, but be prepared with some cash, because it is already very touristic and some places charge a lot for services and goods!

Really enjoyed Praia do Forte, Great walk through the shops to the beaches. The beach is great for snorkeling and shallow bathing, really beautiful.

At low tide natural pools form and you can rent a snorkel and mask for R$20-30 and they even give you some fish food to have some fun. Enjoy,

Praia do Forte has everything you could want from a beach location: clean beaches, lovely sights, evening attractions and great restaurants. Take a 'bicycle-taxi' to tour the village, or get to know the Tamar project that cares and helps protect local marine life, especially turtles. It's a fantastic place for parents of small children as well, because beaches are quiet... More

We visited Praia do Forte for a few days last September and the beaches are so beautiful. You can do snorkeling or just rent a sunbed for a few bucks. Coconuts are available to drink on call, or capirinha if you prefer. And great snacking food everywhere. We had an amazingly relaxing time in that place. Paradise it is.

Awesome place! Great place to walk the streets and get to know the local crafts! Also with a nice beach and the tamar project! I recommend buying the cachaça factory in that region.

This is your typical tropical Atlantic beach, fringed with palm trees, with several tones of blue and green in the sea and very interesting natural pools at low tied

About 2.5 hours North of Salvador, Bahia, the small town right by the coast gives access to beautiful, tropical, palmtree -lined beaches. Nice resorts!

The site has a visitor entrance with several displays and historical background. The fort itself is well preserved and you can walk through what remains of the structure.
