We did the Biólogo por um dia tour and had the whole place for us for 2hs as you start before they open and my family was the only one for the tour that day. This was a great time for my daughter that wants to do biology and greatly enjoyed the tour. We fed the turtles and heard everything you ever want to hear about them. Carol was great and connected with us during the tour. For $20 per person and $10 for kids it is a great deal.

Visit the tamar Turle Reserve when you go to Praia de Forte. Lots of information on the sea turtles and their preservation. Good at sunset when the turtles come out.

The location is amazing but only takes a short time to visit. Avoid the yellow submarine, not what you think and a waste of time and money.

The idea is very noble and all people I encountered were very dedicated to the cause. However I was a bit shocked to see many sea turtles and a few fish held in captivity and displayed like in a zoo.
Please focus in the future more on the scientific aspects of saving and supporting those lovely creatures rather having them swim in endless circles.

For sure it is a good thing to educate the people about the turtles and help the baby turtles to hatch and grow but...
how can a natural conversation project hold fully grown turtles in these tiny plastic pools!?!?! Even in a zoo animals are treaten better than there.

This living museum, lets you interact with sea turtles that have been rescued and cannot be returned to the ocean. You learn about the amazing life of sea turtles, what can endanger them, and things you can personally do to help protect them. Our guide was an exchange student from the United States who gave us a wonderful tour in English.

When visiting Praia do Forte, do not leave out a visit to Tamar Project. Call ahead of time also to see what day/time they will let the baby turtles into the ocean. It is quite an experience for kids to see. You get to touch little baby turtles and see them being let go into the ocean. At the Project you also get to touch live sting rays and learn about turtles. Don't miss out on taking the "tour". The work they do is amazing.

Super nice place to go and visit with children. You can see the animals very close and there are many attractions. The stores near by are also very nice.

Part of the Tamar project to save turtles and wilde life is a small restaurant right at the beach. We enjoyed a wonderful Moqueca with a Glas of white wine.

The kids always have a good time there. They have made some improvements to the place. This time we got to do the guided tour, which was very instructional.
