A great excursion for all family
Aug 2020 • Family
Valle de Pineta is a valley located in Ordesa National Park, in Aragonese Pyrenees, in the North of Spain. It is located near Bielsa, the last town before the border of France. We came all family here to do the excursion to Llanos de Lalarri (Lalarri Lands in English) and it was great. The best one the wonderful views of the mountains and Lalarri Lands, the place, where we lunched and enjoyed with the landscape. Also, it is possible to do for children and seniors. Very recommendable for all family.

another character of he Monte Perdido
Jul 2019 • Family
After hiking in the Ordesa andAnisclo, we came to the Pineta Valley for a one day hike. The driving from Nerin was almost an hour. We saw lots of camping facilities in the village and lots of cars. It seems to be a very popular day excursion spot for locals. Once we parked (with a small fee), we started hiking along the river where we can see layers of waterfalls cascade down. the canyon was cut by glaciers, another character compared to Anisclo. it was an easy hike with impressing waterfalls. Nice to spend a few hours there.

Well worth visiting

The minor road up the valley is good and when the views of the Circo de Pineta appear then you will be really hooked. Large free car park at the end of the road. Excellent low level walks from there or very demanding high level walks for those who can do that.

Stunning

The Valle Pineta offers stunning scenery with jagged mountains on three sides. Great for hiking and for accessing the Monte Perdido and Oropesa national park. In winter it also offers cross country skiing. Easy access into France and the skiing there.

Beautiful mountain area for trekking

One of the most pictoresque mountain valleys I've ever visited, with waterfalls and greenery all around. From Zaragoza it takes almost 3 hours drive to get there, but if you like mountains, you'll enjoy it.

Stunning views

We walked from the car park at the entrance of the national park to Llanos de Larri, which is a valley through which the river Larri runs through down into the Valley de Pineta. The walk is sign posted very well and in the main a nice wide path that gradually goes up until you reach the valley. There are some smaller paths that also lead back to the car park. The walk to the valley will take 1-2 hours depending on your fitness, but the return journey will take less time as it is mainly downhill. Recommend good walking boots or shoes and on a hot day take plenty of water. Along the route there a few waterfalls and the views are fantastic, esp. when you reach the valley. From the valley there are further hiking trails into the mountains for the more adventurous. I would rate the walk as medium difficulty as it is a nearly 3km walk uphill.
Certainly worth a visit.

Car parking is Euro 2 for the whole day. Access to the national park is via the road sign posted valle de Pineta from Bielsa.

Must visit

We stayed at the Parador, but there plenty of other options; camping, hostel, rentals and more. The view from the valley is spectacular. If the snow is melting then you see plenty of waterfalls. Lots of well marked trails to hike.

Yet another beautiful end of the world
Aug 2017 • Couples
With mountains towering above you, spectacular cascades all around and peaceful meadows at the valley's bottom, this is a special place indeed. Walks galore to choose from. We went up to the Llanos de Larri, quite steep a hike in places but less than an hour's walk each way. Up there we found a wide plain, not unlike many such places in the Alps, with the river Larri bursting down in a beautiful fall at the far end - get there as close as you can get and you will find great places to cool your feet or even have a quick bath. The river meanders through the plain before again it drops to the bottom of the Valle de Pineta in a series of spectacular falls, with a steep but safe path on one side.
Only the lucky may get a glimpse of Monte Perdido, the Pyrenees' 3rd highest mountain, which is said to rise behind the Balcon de Pineta. We did not have such luck but, nevertheless enjoyed every moment of our visit.
