Humpback whales, Orca's, Spermwhales and Finnwhales are frequently close to Andenes. We went there to visit the Spermwhales in a RIB. We were so exited because of the boattrip as the whales aswell. After a 30 minute boattrip the captain found the whales and we went to them. And it was so special to see these big friendly animals in real life. There was a group of 5 Spermwhales and one of them was so curious about the boat that he came to us. We really had the chance to see the Spermwhales very well and we made great pictures! Close to the harbour we visited a group of seals who where resting on a little island. Although not as impressive as the whales they where very cute (and much bigger then I thought) We were in Andenes in March and we will come back in januari when the Humpbackwhales and the Orca's are back!!!

We were given a comprehensive introductory talk about the whales and how they live, and a safety talk, then set off to get ready. After a hilarious time getting into the bulky, but very necessary suits we boarded the rib, for what looked like a smooth ride out. It was a calm day, but even so there were several quite... More

Booked a six day trip but got snowed in for a extra two days !!! Lil , Marten and all the staff were fantastic could not be more helpful , we got out on second day and had the most terrific morning catching sight of two pods of orcas and spending what seemed like hours just admiring the beauty and... We went on the Snorkeling with Orcas trip. Weather conditions seemed good, but it was quite windy at sea, so spotting whales and orca's was very hard. We did not find any orca's at all, so didn't go into the water at all. Even though the provided materials and suits were good, it can get very cold and uncomfortable on... More

visited for 6 days beginning of January with a private group. The staff and owner are great and always helpful. Do not expect a ride in the park as conditions are tough, its the arctic. Were able to get 4 days in the water and only twice saw orcas, it is definitely not a productive trip photography wise but the... More

We stayed at Sea Safari Andenes for 5 days and booked our trip with the hope of seeing Orca's in the wild. They use RIB boats so even going out on the boat is an experience in itself. We were lucky enough to see Humpback whales, sperm whales and Orcas! As there is very little light pollution we saw the... More

Booked in to see the orcas and snorkel with them. Unfortunately we didn't see any, seen one sperm whale barely. Wrap up warm it's really cold out on the boat. The accommodation we stayed in which they organised was really nice.

I was there in June 2016. In principle the company guarantees to see whales. Unfortunately in my case no whales were visible so we cruised for 3 hours without success. For sure I know that whale watching is part of nature and no one can fix whales in the area we cruised. On our way back to the station we... More

If you are seeking for life time experience this is your thing! In a RIB boat you will be living unique memories. Very professional and in the respect of the whales to not scare them the captain Marten or Rodolphe drive the boat as close as possible. We managed to dive with the orcas with rented material from the sea... More

Had a wonderful time in Andenes... Lil and her team are pasionate and love to meet people ! The cruises ( whales and birds ) are fantastic and safe, with a quick conference before and a delicious soup + focaccia (miam) after the ride. The bedrooms are cosy and confortable with clean bathroom and good bed. The breakfast is great... More
