Nice aroma in the shop. Sells nice Malaysian products. Also sells malaysia famous tea bags. Quite pricey though.

My partner and I enjoyed a great day at the tropical spice garden. After a guided tour round the grounds with our knowledgeable and friendly guide, we had a go at the cooking class. Luckily we got the teacher (the wonderful Bee) all to ourselves and tried our hand at making Sambal (spicy shrimp paste) and loh bok (spiced chicken... More

We really enjoyed going to the Tropical Spice Garden. Worth the bus ride out from the city. Great opportunity to learn about spice, herbs and many types of natural fauna. The audio system they give you are good, but would prefer a headset as opposed to holding the system against my ear. The restaurant at the end was the goods!... More

Amid the hustle and bustle of Penang is this lovely place. It's like being transported into a rain forest. Very well done indeed with lots of information on plants and medicinal properties. Excellent restaurant to sit and ponder all the info you've collected.

We enjoyed an excellent morning tour and cookery class at the Spice Garden. The initial tour was informative, and a pleasant walk, but the Malaysian cooking class was the highlight. In a well-equipped facility, our class of nine (max size) was capably lead by Rohana to create a Malaysian chicken curry, along with a particularly tasty achar nenas (pineapple salad),... More

An absolute must visit for Nature lovers and those who want to connect with the 'roots' to the flavorful dishes of Malaysia. It is quite a large Garden so if you have limited time I would suggest that you choose the 'pink' route. A must visit is the store for a bag of chai spice. Close to the exit is... More
