I think this is a place to visit for a family with smaller children. We found that our kids were a little bored. The Thai food at the restaurant is great and they have a Thai cook. We were lucky enough to be visited at the table by the local monkeys which was the highlight of the visit really. More... More

A guided tour is recommended. Although the price is 10RM more, it is worth. For my case, I am the only one bought the guided tour in the early afternoon of Sunday. Remember to tip the tour guide in the end. One more thing to recommend is to stop by Tree Monkey restaurant to have coffee or anything. The view... More

One of the few places my husband & I have chosen to visit on our maiden trip to Penang. It was a way of introducing my son to nature's gifts that give diverse flavor to our meals. It was remarkable to see a purple colored chili padi & to see up-close the plants that give me the fragrant cinnamon, cardamom,... More

I went to this place after reading some of the reviews posted, and it was worth every penny!! You can go there by bus or Uber, which is definitely a great deal of savings because a normal taxi could charge between RM 35-40 (Uber will cost around RM 18-20). I attended the 11.30 am guided tour, and previously was greeted... More

We took our 9yr old grandson here. The staff were very helpful. We opted for the hand held travel guide as the the actual English speaking guide has set times of departure...we would have waited 1.1/2hrs for his return. Our grandson found he could use the recorded hand held your guide very well and went off on his own. The... More

We stopped by here on the way back from Monkey Beach, and we were so happy we did. I was discouraged by the reports of the so-so audio guide and the hill climb, but the key is to take a guided tour with a human being, one of the options you have when buying a ticket. It is so worth... More

Visited on the spur of the moment. It proved to be one of the highlights of our Penang visit. It was a good experience for beginning to end. We opted for a guided tour. C.E was entertaining & knowledgeable. She obviously enjoyed her job. Prior to the walk through the gardens we were given citronella oil to apply on exposed... More

Visited the garden last year and was very disappointed with the attraction. This is not a place to shout about. I think the sea side opposite the garden is much more better place for relaxing
