We stayed in Himalayan village between 3-june to 6-june 2016. We were well taken care by the owner Mr Ashish and his wife. They have dedicated group of servers who keep a smile on their face and work tirelessly to keep the guests happy. We went on guided treks that was marred by the blackend earth after the uttarakhand wildfires.... More

Its about 3 hrs/80 Kms from Kathgodam junction... crossing Bheemtal in between. So the people who are little sensitive to motion sickness should carry appropriate medicines. Don't go there if you are looking for a typical resort with all fancy stuff and satellite tv. Having said that, and having been here in April 2014 (yup this is coming nearly 2 years late) I will go there again. Carry your book if you like reading. Go there for fresh air, away from chaos, spending time with family... More

I stayed at Himalayan Village in Sonapani for two days and was quite pleased with everything. The rooms made like individual cottages are made of mud and stone, with intimate warm light and wooden bathrooms. The staff was very accommodating and everything that they served in food was delightful. The owner's kids Vanya & Aru helped me in picking fresh... More

Beautiful and serene atmosphere, well taken care of, homely food amidst jungles and chirping of birds. Will like to visit again . Though rains were beautiful there but approach is little tricky n difficult during rainy season. Trees full of pears, Magpie n other birds.
