We were looking for a rest stop, while driving from Olhao, Portugal to Granada. We were desperate to get past the nightmare traffic of the Seville ring-road. This was a perfect distance (2 hours and 13 minutes and only 17km south of Seville). It sounded a fun diversion. It's certainly a unusual site to see, if you're in the area. Apparently, it's the only figurative bridge in Europe. The dragon spans above and below the bridge itself. It's covered in colourful mosaic tiles. It was a clever idea. There is a park surrounding it, which was very peaceful and there is a free car park just over the bridge. That's probably the best place to see the dragon in its full expanse. It's also good to walk over the bridge itself to see the dragon's head close up. The mosaic work that went into making the dragon is impressive. Certainly a fun stop.

I loved the view from the castle as it showed 2 highways merging together. Dos Hermanas - Sevilla. I liked the the idea of it ! :)

As you drive around the towns ring Road you may cross this dragon bridge and more than likely stop to take a look as the dragons body supports the underside of the bridge. The bridge inspired directly in the Barcelona architect Antonio Gaudione.
On the hillside can be seen one of the largest Almohad fortresses in Europe. The dragon is guarding the castle and the town.

Its about 20min by car from C of Sevilla. The bridge is next to a nice park and close to a castle. Nothing more to see. The town nearby is really small and most of the shops were close at 2PM. Also the restaurants!

We met with some friends at the parking lot near the castle and the dragon bridge. The bridge being over the Guadaira river. It is all mosaic and all scattered over the town are the same mosaic colors and structures, fountains and other artistic mosaic things.

We walked down a rough path down to the park which was a little rocky and hard to walk down with flip flops and sandals but the walk below goes for miles so people were cycling and jogging. People brought picnics and were enjoying family time.
Nice place, not sure I would purposely go again but good meeting point with big parking lot.

Who ever drove across a dragon to enter or leave a city? With a parking lot at the city's exit end of the bridge, it is easy to park and take photos of friends and family posing in front of the dragon head. Position your camera right and you can get a good shot of the big fortress-castle on the hill as a backdrop, too.
