You can drive up to the fortress quite easily and there is parking inside the grounds. There is little left of the original fortress, the tower has been rebuilt and is impressive. I went to the top which is not a difficult climb and there...More

You can catch a bus or walk, to the top. We went by bus and walked down, the local bus is great cheap and frequent. Once at the top you pay a small entrance fee. Great views over the city, bull ring and marina. Well worth...More

Our time in Malaga was very limited but I’m so glad we carved out time for the Alcazaba! The tour provides a glimpse into the compelling history of this region, and affords stuffing views of the city and the water!

Most of the castle consists of park/grounds/gardens and assorted ruins. I doubt if dogs are allowed in the tower but should be ok elsewhere. Did not see any signs saying no.
