How a small village can have a cathedral like this is amazing. Right in the center of town, it should not be missed. The small chapels should be checked in detail because there is so much interesting history on display.

There was scaffolding around the building and inside you can sense the strength of the building from the cool stone smell.
I am not a fan of churches but this building was not too grand and calming so just pop in.

We recently spent a week in Saint-Pol-de-Leon and we visited the cathedral on a number of occasions. It is a beautiful cathedral, some of which dates from the 15th century. There are numerous items of historical interest and, despite the vastness of the cathedral, it was also a really peaceful place to spend some time reflecting. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

You don't expect to find a cathedral in so small a town, and, in a sense, you don't find one, for this cathedral has much more the feel of a good-sized parish church in England. From the literature available, and from the whole way it is configured, its ministry is clearly that of a parish church.
Architecture impressive, though not spectacular; some attractive stained glass. Good interpretative material.

Beautiful building and interior but unfortunately undergoing extensive renovation work until 2020 so covered in scaffolding and not much opportunity for good photos!

A magnificent cathedral easily accessible in the middle of this small town. Lovely stained glass and amazing sculptures of the people entombed.

One of two cathedrals in St Pol, although in this one you can climb the tower inside for a 2 euro charge. Time, my larger frame and perhaps a little apprehension meant I declined on this occasion, but my teenage kids went up and thouroughly enjoyed the splendid views. Full of the usual religious artefacts and paintings and certainly worth a short period of your time to walk round.

Well worth a visit, the cathedral is beautiful and jam packed with different features. The stained glass windows are stunning. My son loved it in there even if I bored him a little with the history of the place! If you are around you should pop in and take a look, it is worth a stop.
The town is also worth a little walk around, some nice shops and places to eat and drink.

Every corner in this cathedral reveals a tomb, picture, statue or point of interest. Steeped in history, typical of a lot of French churches. Allow an hour to wander around and study the features, some older than 13th century.
