I can’t recommend this restaurant enough:) The view is breathtaking and sooo romantic ❤️ The restaurant is like a beautiful mediterranean private garden.
Highly recommended - great wine, very good food, staff are frendly!
If we ever have the opportunity to visit again, I could see spending a few days at this restaurant day after day, just to have this experience again...!!!

My favourite beach in Hvar Island. It is little, but there weren't too much people, so it was okey. Difficult access, but after, it is amazing.

We were staying on Hvar with a rental car and wanted to find a beach to unwind at for the day. The road down to this beach is quite the breath-taker but the reward at the bottom is well and truly worth it. Nestled alongside a small harbour is a sandy beach with crystal blue waters. There are rocks for diving off and plenty of small fish to be found in the bay.

Last visited this part of the world in early noughties when we didn't have kids and on that particular day, we were one of only 2 couples to spend the day there.

It's still a beautiful part of the world - beautiful rock formations jutting out of the sea, some lovely coves and quiet bays and pebble beaches.

However, I'd forgotten how tricky it was to get there. A short 20 min drive from Hvar town, with a stony, single lane, winding 'road' (read 'track') to the bottom. Parking is really stressful and if you're not there early you end up much higher up with a hefty walk down. In fact even if you're at the lowermost parking area, it's still another 15 mins to get to the bay along steep, winding paths. Fortunately since early 2000 and something, there is now a metal staircase on the side of the cliff. It looked like it was private property which is why we avoided it at first. There is an alternative concrete stairway further along the cliff. We ended up entering the sea from here and then swimming to the adjacent cove with 7 year old floating along in her rubber ring. This cove is open to the public but does give the impression of being owned by the apartmeni overlooking this bay (think it's a deliberate ploy by the owners of the apartmeni).

Lovely swimming area with impressive coves further along and random rock formations dotting the bay. Further ahead there were
many yachts moored so it does get busier - but not as busy as Parmizen or Mlini beach. Nice shaded area afforded by the trees along the bay which was great when the sun was at it's strongest.

We came with packed lunches and frozen water but there were at least 2 restaurants near the lowermost parking area if you felt inclined to visit.

Overall it was nice to revisit this place after so many years - and to recount some anecdotes about this visit to our daughter. However, I still think Mlini beach is my fave place to swim and certainly more hassle free getting there with kids. I won't be coming back to Zarace in a hurry.

Wonderful place - upstairs nice renewed old village (getting bettter and better in 15 years we return every year), downstairs magnificent natural cliff enclosed in a beautiful bay with pebble beach and two other separate small beaches. Refreshments ("restaurant") nothing much to high prices (better to take a water bottle and a sandwich with you and go up on the coffee). In addition, restaurant owners consider the beach as their property - occupy an increasingly formerly free parking spaces and even prevent visitors to the beach to take a few pebbles in remembrance (apparently they are the owners!). Put your eye on them.

Not much to do but here but take some pics of cute houses. Other than that, there is really nothing else to do. Maybe use a rest room? Not worth stopping over for.

This is the place recommended by the motor rental owner. It is not easy to find but once you spot it, you will definitely find it worthy. The petit pebble beach is a small corner surrounded by turquoise sea. It is quiet here and you can relax a whole afternoon.

It is hard to get to this beach but aboslutely worth it. The water is very clean, the beach isn't crowded, you can find your privacy in the shadows or in the sun. This is absolutely a must when visiting Hvar.
