I have visited this place today i.e 25th December, 2021 so that you all would be able to make our this place is still open for most of the tourists unlike other places in and around Gangtok.

For people planning to book for sight seeing through tour operators please make sure all the places are open. Currently for 10 point sight seeing through tour operators in and around Gangtok it’s 2500/- . Better you talk to any running taxi drivers and they would agree for 1600-2000. I went for 2000/- without much bargain and considering the driver good it’s quite ok for us.

The temple is an average Hindu temple maintained by the Indian Army. But the drive through umpteen number of hairpin curves is an attraction. After the parking lot more climbs to reach the deity. A garden seems to be developing there

It was fantastic to revisit this famous temple after 25 years. The military has totally modified this hill. My soul got filled with calm and bliss.

I along with my wife visited Hanuman Tok on 30th Jan'21. Hanuman Tok is around 11 km from Gangtok and is located at height of approximately 7000 feet on the upper reaches of Gangtok. The temple is dedicated to lord Hanuman, and maintained by the Indian army. It was established in 1952.

Hanuman Tok offers a spectacular view of Kanchenjunga and has beautiful view-point where one can capture the beauty of nature and cherish it for lifetime.

Please Note - Don't forget to go to the building exactly opposite to the main Hanuman temple as its has whole story of Hanuman Tok beautifully engraved and written.

Hanuman Tok is a Hindu temple complex which is located in the upper reaches of Gangtok, the capital of the Indian state of Sikkim. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and maintained by the Indian army. It was established in 1952.
One can see a beautiful mountainscape, if not cloudy. Appreciate the garden and temple maintained by the army personnel.
According to the local legends, when Hanuman was flying to Dronagiri Mountain which had the life-saving herb Sanjeevani to save Lord Rama's brother Lakshmana, he rested in the spot for some time where his temple now lies.
The view of Mt Kanchenjunga is really beautiful....
One should spend around 30 minutes...
the place is nicely maintained by the Indian army

Such a beautiful place it is . This is in the lap of mountains . A Hanuman temple is situated here . Around 20 years age there was nothing without some benches . That time it was just a viewpoint . But now many tourist go there to visit that temple . From here you can see the snow covered mountains also . Last February I went there and that was a bright day . And the whole view was awesome . I think everyone should go there at least once .
