Looking for a thoughtful gift? Or want to pamper yourself? Then walk into the beautifully decorated Kriti Eco Boutique and treat yourself and your loved ones to a varied collection produced by tribals in the Nilgirs and stylish clothing stitched by women from one of the poor, backward regions of Madhya Pradesh. From Amla candies to delicious honey to even a wonderful collection of organic cosmetics, you can find some wonderful things. Stylish kurtis and printed shawls are bound to catch your eyes!
And most importantly, your every buy is a contribution to the great work, the NGOs are doing to empower the tribals and the women.
A must shopping destination for all those who come to Pondicherry.

Kirti Eco boutique is one of its kind in Pondicherry, where you can find exotic products sourced from various regions of India and most of them are handcrafted or procured by marginalised or tribal groups! Priced reasonably, this boutique is a great find for someone with a love for organic, fair- trade and handcrafted products. And lastly after buying the products, there is a sense of satisfaction for having given something back to the communities, who otherwise would have remained unnoticed..

This shop is very worth a visit, you can find clothing, food, home decor , cosmetics and bath supplies. All items are well sourced from villages and fair trade . Proceeds go directly to the villagers. The sourcing and sales are done by a brother and sister team.
Very friendly staff and excellent quality and value.

If you are looking for a gift that will create a lot of joy, Kriti Ecoboutique is the right place to buy it.
Skin care products are just great, jams and honeys are delicious. And all the products have stylishly designed packages.
I've been to the boutique twice and I'm definitely going back again :)

Kriti is a place to appreciate organic and indigenous produces from different parts of India! Thus one can find natural wild honey, beeswax products, wild spices, coffee and tribal embroidered garments from the Nikgiri slopes. Colorful patch work clothes, bed sheets and garments from Madhya Pradesh and lots more interesting and meaningful souvenirs!
Each product has a story behind and every purchase is for a cause! Kriti gets a thumbs up for its its unusual offerings of organic, indigenous and meaningful products.

Having lived in Pondicherry for several years I can say with certainty that this is one of the best shops to visit in the city. The products are natural, fair trade and of very high quality. What makes it even better is the spectrum of colour and styles available. I would recommend anyone visiting Pondicherry to make at least one visit to Kriti.

Kriti is small, charming, beautiful. The honey jars in rows from Last Forest Enterprises in the Nilgiris gleam, their warmth matching that of the shops wooden shelves and fixtures and the charm of the owner, a life-long Pondicherry resident (Dimple is well-informed and multi-lingual -- try Bengali, English, French). There are clothes, make-up, dishes, mugs and stuff others have mentioned, some lovely small puzzles that we bought. Like the shop itself, everything here is selected carefully, made with care, and quite beautiful, if your aesthetic leans towards the hand crafted as mine does.
We're not big shoppers, but I do buy stuff and like to get the occasional gift for a friend or family member (we live in the US and in India). I also have an opinionated teenager who reads way too much and has decided to always give preference to fair trade certified products. At Kriti, you know that everything you buy is made by people who are being fairly compensated, and by organizations that have parity and social change as an integral part of their work.

After having read good reviews on Trip Advisor, Kriti Eco Boutique was definitely on my itinerary and I'm glad to have visited this lovely store with a grand variety of personal and gift items. I ended up purchasing a beautiful copper-shade lipstick and a pretty, one of a kind cotton dress. Moreover, it was delightful to have a conversation in French with the kind owner, Mrs. Dimple. Will definitely visit again!

I visited this shop, after some effort to find it since its located just off the street. It's products are mostly stuff like honey & spices; typically "for foreign tourists" - was a bit disappointed!! There is a hand made paper factory on the opposite side of the road that is worth a look.
