This is also a Beach of Pondichery.Auro Beach an open beach of Pondichery. Here is open area where children were playing. In morning the beach was rather neat and clean. However people lays here after taking liquer which is not fair for any tourist spot.

If you have seen enough beaches before, this place doesnt have much to offer. Just go there take some selfies( that's what we did) and come back. There is a good market nearby, you can go there to buy some souvenirs for back home.

We spend almost 1.5 hr t reach here and after reaching here we felt bad. It was waste of time very dirty beach and crowd was locals. Garbage is kept all over near the beach please do not waste time here and explore something else. If you are vegetarian then i am sure you would not like the stalls on the beach selling fish, crabs and sea food ( washing & cleaning of raw sea food) in front of you. Avoid this place.

Auro and Auroville Beach are interconnected. Auro Beach is fantastic and peaceful. We saw some hotel and restaurant on sea side. Water is clean and wave is big and good. This Beach is good for sea bath. Shore is little down, take care while bathing. Live Fish fry, coconut available on Beach. Though less crowded beach nevertheless Govt. should more attention about cleanliness.

Fresh mustard globules of excreta and garbage , washed away by the sea sometimes, and at others lingering on the sand forever.

(Tripadvisor said I can't use profanity in my review. But I do remember this beach as gorgeous because I used to visit it often when I was at Uni.)

Enough said.

Auroville beach is 9km from Pondicherry. You can walk to here from Auroville bus stop ECR means eastern coast road. The beach is not much safe. High probability of high tides there. Some budget range resorts and rest houses are there. But you cannot spend much time here as there is no place to sit or stand even.

This beach is by far the best i've visited. It is not very crowded hence a paradise for privacy seekers. The water appears bluest of the blues you could ever imagine. It is a nerve calming place.

This beach has a nice view, but have to say its very dirty. It may be good if you want to spend sometime alone with your partner, but other then that its of no special importance. Its best to travel with own communication,as communication is poor there. Also it is advised by locals there, not to visit it after sunset. It also offers some adventure sports.
