Nice place to relax!!
Aug 2021 • Solo
Nice Place just to relax and enjoy some greenery. Entry Fee is very minimal. There is a small aquarium also inside the gardens. Also there is a kids area. There was a toy train but it wasn't operational.

Thought of much but nothing special. Toy train and aquarium are the main place for kids to enjoy. Thou of it could be maintained properly and timing could be extended.

Auroville will open in the morning n closes by 12.30
So we have to plan by morning 6 atleast.
We can visit beach, park and ashram first in the morning.
If there's still more time then we can visit famous Manakula vinayagar temple.

Have to take 9 to 10 km drive from pondy got Auroville.

Nothing More than Ordinary Public Garden!
Nov 2019
We visited this “Botanical Park” with great expectations because of our interest in botany, and in Ayurvedic medicinal plants and trees. Very few tree species can be defined as rare and only a few of them are labeled. Yes, some are very old and carefully preserved, but that does not make this place a “Botanical Park”. Authorities must visit other botanical parks in our country (Lal baag in Bengaluru) and find out the scope of improvement here.

Landscape of the garden is beautiful, providing excellent jogging path and recreation area in the forest environment. Children find nice amusement activity in toy train, aquarium and other play area.

Not a single lotus flower can be seen in the lotus pond, but the artistic bridge and a miniature water fall near the pond is attractive.

A small restaurant is located in the middle, though not well equipped, but good enough for a cup of coffee and some snacks.

Sayaji Baag in Vadodara, Gujarat, has all such attractions and many more, with no entry fees at all; so Authorities of Puduchery administration should also stop collecting entry fees for this park.
