Small Temple

It's a small temple when you go in front of the Lifestyle store. It is a proper blend of Tamil architecture and has a great influence of Goddess Shakti.

Blend Of Tamil & French Architecture
Jan 2017 • Friends
This Temple is located on the MG Road & dedicated to Goddess Shakti. The whole temple is built by amalgamating Tamil with French architecture with its arched walls, iconic columns, stained glass, windows & Angelic decorations!

The inner ceiling is supported by the more traditional granite pillars & the sanctum sanctorum has a typical design & style.

Unique Architecture
Dec 2016 • Couples
The temple is unique in its architecture as it blends the style of the French with the traditional Deccan architecture of India.
The temple of Kanniga Parameswari is dedicated to the Goddess Shakti who is the representative deity of power in Hindu mythology. Shakti is another form of the powerful Goddess Kali who is one of the popular deities worshiped in Pondicherry.

The interior ceiling of the sanctum is designed in the traditional style of the Tamil architecture and contains motifs on the granite pillars. The construction stands on monolithic pillars that represent the architecture of Europe.

It is also one of the oldest temples and a must visit for all. You feel at peace inside and can spend sometime praying. You can cover all the temples in a day;s visit.
