Was apprehensive about going here as i'm not a big supporter of animal attractions.

However, all animals seem in good health and as far as Zoo type places go seem to have a lot of space.

It's only 10 Euros to get in which to be honest is ok value, due to the size and variety of animals I wouldn't want to be paying any more.

You really do need to book a taxi to get there (we walked along a main road then a dirt trail and under an overpass which I certainly wouldn't want to repeat!)

There's also an unholy amount of Guinea pigs for some reason, so if you like those, you'll love it...

Would i go again? Probably not, but I didn't come away feeling bad for the animals and was an interesting way to spend a hour or two.

This is a fairly small zoo on the outskirts of Los Christianos which has monkeys, lemurs, birds, lizards and an enormous amount of guinea pigs.
Unlike zoo’s in the UK you can walk through a lot of the enclosures and hand feed the animals even the enclosures you can’t walk through you’re still able to feed the monkeys through the bars.
The enclosures have plenty of room and things for the animals to climb on so they will only engage with you if they want to and strictly on their terms, I was lucky enough to have a squirrel monkey briefly climb over me unfortunately at the only point in the holiday when the kids didn’t have their cameras in their hands!
I’d suggest going in the morning as the animals are getting feed by visitors all day so they’re more likely to engage in the mornings I think, don’t worry if the monkeys are all full as there’s a never ending supply of guinea pigs that will eat out of your hand.
It was €50 for 4 adults with 3 tubs of food, we were in there for about 1 hr 45 mins but you could stay there all day if you like.
There’s no cafe but a couple of vending machines at the entrance.
Definitely worth a visit if you like animals.

Back again for the 7/8 time over 8 years allbeit a 2 year wait.
They have spruced the place up a bit and looks nice and Improved.
£36 for a family of 5 which includes 3 boxes of food for the animals. Compare this to £130 for the "other" park up the hill in chayofa which hens you into pens and hassle you for photos of which you cannot bypass the queue so have to wait for 10+ minutes on a quiet rainy winters day....and builds you an adventure walkway to a toboggan run for an additional "£20" for family of 5.

These guys at the monkey park offer photos as well however there is no queue or wait to get into the park nor and pressure sales. You just waltz on by with a smile from their employees.

This is prob a half day visit but my kids are more of a 3/4 day visit and we have to drag them out. We normally visit 2/3 times per holiday however our hotel was too far away just time for a 1 day visit.

During covid I wondered if this place was still going and glad it is. Delighted it is. From the staff at reception all the way through the park, kind and friendly.
Take a packed lunch, there are vending machines, there are taxis outside .

A wee tip, be nice to the animals, don't chase, pick them up, get too close to the leemurs etc just keep your distance and don't feed them food not for them. You are watched at all times in the areas and the staff have always responded kindly to kids who respect the animals and allow them to get close and get the monkeys posing on shoulders for "free" pictures.

Coming home from holiday we ask our kids out of all the attractions and beaches etc what their fav day was and it is always the "monkey park" or they call it now the "guinea pig park!".

Well done the monkey park. Hopefully see you next march.

This a fantastic day out for all ages. We thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the animals and feeding them. The enclosures are spacious and the animals are very happy in their environment. The baby monkeys are so sweet and they love to take the food that you can purchase on site for a small fee. The entrance fee if only €10 per person so it is one of the cheaper attractions to visit

We had a fantastic day out here. We thought it was well priced at €10 entry and you can buy a small packet of food to feed the animals.

It was bigger than we expected and really well laid out. The are big enclosures you can go into with the animals and pet them. They are laid out in such a way that the animals can move into an area away from the people if they want to which was good.

The only exception was for the tortoise who had nowhere to escape from the children that were pestering him and trying to jump on its back. There are signs everywhere asking parents to control their children but many parents just let the children do what they wanted and let them pester the animals. There needs to be a member of staff in every one of these walk through enclosures for this reason. Unfortunately you cannot rely on parents to control their children.

The animals had really big enclosures and seemed well looked after. Again, an exception to this were the large parrots. The cages they were in were very high but very narrow so they could barely fly at all. These cages need to be higher and at LEAST triple the width.

If the animals had bigger cages and more supervision from staff I do believe the park would have more visitors. I think many may stay away due to the reviews on here concerning animal welfare.

Amazing day! Honestly can’t believe how cheap it is for everything the park offers. It is small compared to an actual zoo however we spent about 2.5 hours there as you can interact with so many animal. The staff are so nice and the animals are amazing. A highlight of my trip!

It's an amazing mini zoo. The entrance fee for an adult costs €10 and for kids €6. You can buy additional food for animals for €3 but don't bring your own food, it's not allowed. Make sure to keep your children close at all times, because there are places where child might climb over fences. One thing I didn't like about the place is due to lack of staff members. The amount of times I've seen teenagers or even adults mess around with animals - disturbing and tapping on the glass windows. Please have some respect when entering any type of enclosure that has animals. The place have WC/toilet but it is inside of the zoo and the car park, which is outside of the Monkey Park.

This was our first time in Tenerife and our first time at Monkey Park. It was really the only zoo type experience open in the area as we came quite soon after tourism started back up again in July 2020.

However that’s not to say this didn’t stand out as a stand alone great experience it certainly was!

All the animals are well looked after and with the €3 fruit and veg pack we managed to feed just about all the animals in the place (thanks to our little ones.)

the one way system makes it easy to know where you are in The place as it’s not very big. It’s also easy to turn around at any point if you get too hot and need a drink from the reception shop or just need to chill out of the sun for a moment.

It was quite hot that’s the only thing so come prepared as most of it is outdoors. Hats, sun cream etc are recommended.

Staff were very friendly and helped us get a taxi sorted once we were finished.

We visited here to see the monkeys mainly, and although it’s only a small place it’s still well worth a visit. The animals look happy and healthy and it was really nice to see and touch the lemurs. The hundreds of gerbils ru. I got round your feet is also cute to see. We spent a good two hours wondering round there and for only €10 it’s a trip worth taking

A great litle hidden park. You can actually spot the park if you are driving along the highway to or from the airport.

Small but nice, alots of shadows if you want to get some rest from the sun. We recommend visiting the park before midday whereas it could get to hot during the siesta.

You can get some great pictures of you holding a parrot which you can buy at the end of your visit. If you want to take an extra picture you only have to wait about 2-3minutes. Fair price.

You can get there by bus but you will have to walk 1,1km alongside the road so it´s best to go there by taxi, about 10EUR from the American beach. You can also ask the staff to order a taxi for you. Good service
