This is the beach to be at, we attempted to see the top 10 beaches but only Santa Cruz cafe close, and possibly Puerto De La Cruz...... 3 days left and 2 of them will be spent here.... going to try Gigantes as we will be up Mount Tiede on that evening.

This has to be the best beach on the island. It's long and sandy. The water is really clear and even in February it wasn't too cold. There are lots of reasonably priced bars, restaurants and shops along the wide promenade serving the beach. Sunbeds are €4 a day to hire and parasols also €4. Well worth a visit.

Good to see the rules are being stuck to.
This beach has been closed for 10 weeks. And closed means closed.
The whole beach has been cleaned in these 10 weeks, & now will re-open on the 25th June with tight control measures, to keep people safe.

Lovely beach. Sunbeds 12 euros for 2 beds and a parasol. At Los Cristianos Town Beach they cost 9 euros.
What really lets this beach down are the horrible toilet facilities. There are just huts spaced quite far apart at the back of the beach with one male and one female toilet per hut. They were unclean, poorly maintained and were quite frankly a disgrace. If you've got kids good luck.
The good thing is that they appear to have a great facility and toilets for the disabled in the middle of this beach. So they should.
Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote puts the facilities on this beach and at Los Cristianos beach to shame. Such a great beach ruined for us by not investing in proper toilets. Pretty basic requirement really. What it's like in the middle of summer I dread to think.

This is one of the largest beaches on this coast but as yet there is no return of the sun beds, however while we were there there were plenty of sun bathers, especially during weekends. Strange that some of the near beaches have put sunbeds out.
Lifeguards and beach facilities have however returned. There are plenty of shops, cafes etc. to service tourists.
There are a number of beaches on this coastline, each with it's own character, this is one of the best and is family friendly. The apartment we stayed in overlooked the beach and I was impressed with the care and attention given to it.

This was the scene on the two Cristianos beaches at the end of the first weekend with the sunbeds back. All of them.
Note that, despite the shorter winter days, there are lifeguards on both beaches keeping a watchful eye on all the swimmers like me throughout the winter from 10am to 6pm. Current sea temperature is a very pleasant 21 degrees.

I swim in the sea here almost every day. Lovely clean waters and the perfect sandy beach for safe swimming.
The waters in the bay are invariably calm and there are no hidden dangers such as rocks or strong currents.
Being a septuagenarian with asthmatic tendencies, I am nevertheless also grateful that I can swim all year between 11 and 6pm under the watchful eye of lifeguards. Thank you all for looking after me. Trevor

We stopped here in a corner near the harbour overlooking a sandy beach. Very pleasant little location. We had two Americano coffees via a cheerful and friendly waitress, and both for a a total of €3.00 plus a small tip. This is worthj a visit if you are passing.

Lovely beach, close to bars & restaurants.
Relatively clean. Showers available.
What let it down for us was the never ending stream of "looky looky" men or fruit sellers.
We were looking forward to some relaxation not to be pestered incessantly.
We will try again soon.

Could be worth asking at your hotel reception if there is a more secluded one about, there is a cracking bus station in the middle of Los Cristianos, I'm sure you could ask there.
Otherwise, if you are a holidaymaker who wants to be with loads of other people, have all facilities at hand, get plagued by beach hawkers, screaming kids, bouncing balls, loud music, pay for a sun lounger. Then you're in the right place.
By Tenerife standards, it's a nice beach, but the crowds deter me personally. Obviously there are loads who like this type of place, so enjoy....Or go to the bus station!

Sorry, it was easier to walk than drive for us. If you don’t want to drive the bus service was excellent.

What happened to the beach bar across from McDonald’s and just down from safari centre, went in April and no longer there

We missed this bar as well in the first week of Mai this year. We liked to sit there as well for lunch. I guess they didn't got their licence anymore. The only bar on the Beach legt is on the Los Cristianos side.
