- S.K143 contributionsNice beach overallWe went to a few beaches. I loved this one with the man made sand, so it’s a white sand beach not natural black. Lots of shops around and very touristy, people selling you fake branded handbags and sunglasses on the side of the street which is a little annoying and the topless women is also a bit much, otherwise a nice place to swim.Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 2, 2023
- Walrus05Ostend, Belgium167 contributionsNice Beach , just to shortNice Beach , just to short . at high tide you invade the free space and it feels a bit cram-te. Tide comes in fast compared to beach of los Cristiano's . Not ideal with kid's or bad swimmersVisited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten February 10, 2024
- Una S4 contributionsBest beach on the island. Not too busy either. Be wary that sand tends to get very hot, so extra care if needed for kidsOne of best beaches here. Well run sunchairs, nicely spread out. Clean beach with toilet and shower facilities. Great selection of nearby shops and restaurants.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 14, 2024

Lovely beach. Sunbeds 12 euros for 2 beds and a parasol. At Los Cristianos Town Beach they cost 9 euros.
What really lets this beach down are the horrible toilet facilities. There are just huts spaced quite far apart at the back of the beach with one male and one female toilet per hut. They were unclean, poorly maintained and were quite frankly a disgrace. If you've got kids good luck.
The good thing is that they appear to have a great facility and toilets for the disabled in the middle of this beach. So they should.
Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote puts the facilities on this beach and at Los Cristianos beach to shame. Such a great beach ruined for us by not investing in proper toilets. Pretty basic requirement really. What it's like in the middle of summer I dread to think.

4 euros per sunbed or parasol if you want to rent them (they get there to start taking money at about 11am) but also you can bring your own chairs / towels / parasol etc there is plenty of room. Clean and tidy beach, lots of shops and bars on the front but they don’t take over the beach. Showers to clean feet etc.
Golden rather than black sand like in some areas of the island; but still very grainy rather than fine sand. The sand gets really hot - you need something on your feet to walk on it

Lovely beach, close to bars & restaurants.
Relatively clean. Showers available.
What let it down for us was the never ending stream of "looky looky" men or fruit sellers.
We were looking forward to some relaxation not to be pestered incessantly.
We will try again soon.

We stopped here in a corner near the harbour overlooking a sandy beach. Very pleasant little location. We had two Americano coffees via a cheerful and friendly waitress, and both for a a total of €3.00 plus a small tip. This is worthj a visit if you are passing.

There is normally room to settle away from the dedicated sun bed areas. I paid €4 for a sunbed and the same for a parasol for the day. Sea can be cold as it’s the Atlantic Ocean but it is crystal clear. Can be annoying to be disturbed by the African sellers constantly trying to sell you a beach towel or sunglasses. Numerous bars and restaurants only a short distance away and there are toilets on the beach and showers in various places.

Could be worth asking at your hotel reception if there is a more secluded one about, there is a cracking bus station in the middle of Los Cristianos, I'm sure you could ask there.
Otherwise, if you are a holidaymaker who wants to be with loads of other people, have all facilities at hand, get plagued by beach hawkers, screaming kids, bouncing balls, loud music, pay for a sun lounger. Then you're in the right place.
By Tenerife standards, it's a nice beach, but the crowds deter me personally. Obviously there are loads who like this type of place, so enjoy....Or go to the bus station!

A great place to stop for a drink or lunch or to watch the volleyball players, including the Olympian women's champion's Elsa and Lili practice when they are not in the field competing. The long lovely boardwalk dotted with palm trees and a wall to sit and rest is lively with strollers and scooters. Restaurants along the beach offer sun and shade for those stopping to sip and eat.

This is one of the largest beaches on this coast but as yet there is no return of the sun beds, however while we were there there were plenty of sun bathers, especially during weekends. Strange that some of the near beaches have put sunbeds out.
Lifeguards and beach facilities have however returned. There are plenty of shops, cafes etc. to service tourists.
There are a number of beaches on this coastline, each with it's own character, this is one of the best and is family friendly. The apartment we stayed in overlooked the beach and I was impressed with the care and attention given to it.

Los Cristianos boasts this lengthy, sandy beach with many bars and eateries along the nearby promenade strip. The water is clear and palm trees are dotted along the edge making it very pleasing on the eye. It is a beach that seems suited for families specifically. You’ll also find many souvenir shops and the harbour close by where ferries travel to La Palma, a smaller but highly rated island.
