Perfect Beach close to city and public transportation

The beach is not far from the xora (city), the chairs and restaurants are well priced compare to Psarou Beach. I spent almost a full morning there, nice for couples and family... read more

The beach is realy nice, with cristal clear waters. The sunbeds are free starting with 10 am when a guy comes to unlock them. There are toilets and showers but you have to bring your own umbrella.

Get to the beach before 11 am for a spot. Some hotels offer a pair of loungers for free. Some give it to you for free after having lunch. Some ask that you only buy drinks from them. Drinks run anywhere from 10€ and up so can get pricy. Some have a 20€ flat fee them. You can buy drinks... More

This was the first beach we visited in Mykonos. Whilst it is a nice sandy beach, with cool water, we were not impressed with the management of the sunbeams. Having ordered and paid for some drinks, they then tried to charge us again for the drinks. When we already said we had paid, the lady tried to imply that we... More

We really enjoyed our time here. Seems more sandy than any of the others. Can get subbed with wifi for €20 but also places to lay a towel. Very friendly. No one from the hotels hassle you to buy anything (just the street sellers for massages and sunglasses) beautiful location though. Lovely range of restaurants and the sea is clear... More

Been to Mykonos many times and the beach here is beautiful. There are many sun beds but if you have a meal or snack at certain restaurants that have the beds they will be free, A great place for all ages

This was a beautiful beach, the water was crystal clear. It was mid july but not too crowded. Lots of cafes & restaurants to eat at and a convenience store.

Great beach, away from busy noisy town (Chora) with buses and water taxis to take you where ever you want! What more could you want.

We were a family with teenagers. And we had few trips around to check other beaches. I would say Platis Gialos beach was the best. It's sand beaches, variety of restaurants, accessibility to land and water transportation, water games and activities made our trip a great one. The greatest in many years in fact. It is not necessarily the cheapest... More

Great beach, fun, not too wild. All family, including teenage kids and parents can enjoy. Many restaurants and cafes as well as a supermarket on the beach. Beautiful.
