As a dive guide & instructor I am quite particular in finding a good dive centre to dive with.
As I’ve never dived in Lanzarote before, I was entering into the unknown; so starting by emailing a few dive centres prior to arriving & then having a walk around the resort to check them out, I came across Daivoon that looked to meet my requirements, that of being a small centre that can cater for experienced divers, and novices alike.
Some centres group all divers together and your dive maybe then be limited, but not at Daivoon, they grouped divers based on their level, which worked fantastic, as for me I was often 1-1 with a dive guide.
The centre is very well set up, with kit arranged neatly downstairs; your own kit can also be stored securely downstairs where it can be hung to dry after using the kit wash.
As this was a non diving holiday for me (being with my non diving wife) I initially booked in for 2 days (4 dives) but found that due to the quality professional service I received, I was wanting more; in the end I finished up doing 6 days & 12 dives, not bad for a non diving holiday.
Geotz & Michi, the owners, go out of their way to ensure you receive the dives that stimulate your level, an excellent service.
Also Glyn one of their guides is knowledgeable not only about the dive sites but the whole island too, recommending walks and restaurants alike, a great asset to the centre.
When visiting Lanzarote if you’re unsure which centre to try, you cannot fail to leave this dive centre without having a safe enjoyable experience.
Would I use this centre again?
100% yes.
