About
Water babies will love nothing more than a trip to Lanzarote Aquarium where they can see the largest collection of majestic marine life in the Canary Island. One of the Aquarium main goals is to educate visitors about the sea- that's why we have created displays with information about the importance of protecting the environment. For example ´The Aquarium Garbage´ an exhibition that explores the damage being done to the ocean, and what needs to be done to see fish that live in the beautiful blue beneath the waves. There are plenty of native Canarian species to spot throughout the visit such as turtles, blowfishes and tropical clown fish. The shark tunnel will delight young visitors and the hands- on experience in the touch- pools full of spiky sea urchins and slimy sea cucumbers.

Got the bus from puerto del carmen. The stop was fairly close to the aquarium, and for returning was just the opposite side of the road. The aquarium itself is small but interesting. My 4 year old really enjoyed it. The only issue I would have is a lot of the exhibits are very high up so you have to lift kids up to see them. I think it was 40€ for 2 adults and a child and we got round it in about 30 mins. I'd say if the child wa s a little older we could have gotten 45 to 60 mins out of it but all in all I'd recommend going.

The aquarium was right around the corner from our hotel, El Trebol, so on a cloudy afternoon my partner and I decided to visit with an open mind after reading reviews on here.
There are quite a lot of tanks to look at, all with different things to see. Theres a couple of places to sit infront of the larger tanks and just watch the fish, which we did and enjoyed.
It would be entirely possible to walk through in 5 minutes, but if you take your time and enjoy the experience then you'll quite easily spend an hour or more there.
The aquarium is a little run down and unloved, but we were looking at the sea life, not the decor, so that didnt really bother us too much. The one thing about our visit that annoyed me a little was that the lady at the entrance mentioned you could interact with the fish, feeding etc and this was not possible, at least not while we were there anyways, so why she would mention it to us without us asking I'm not sure?
All in all, we enjoyed our visit and I dont think €15 was extortionate a price to pay for an hour and half that we enjoyed and while I wouldn't rush back, if I found myself in Lanzarote with an hour or two to spare I would go back.

Thank you for your review. It’s true that our feeding times are at 12 in the Morning, but we always explain that to our customers in case they want to come back.

It was a good experience. The turtles and sting rays were my favourite. Only negative wS the price 15€ each for adults and we had been round the aquarium so quickly I thought it was expensive, but eh it all goes to a good cause.

Small place not a match for aquarium in gran canaria. U won't spend more then 15 minutes inside . Over price at 15 euro . I would suggest dropping prices and charge 5 euro per adult

This is a great place with different fish to see as well as turtles. It was lovely to spend time to look at the fish in your own time no rushing. The admission fee was only €15 an adult. We only found it due to walking from our hotel to the beach.

Nice to visit something a little different whilst on holiday. We went here on a day when the weather was a little gloomier. Short queue to get in, but no need to prebook. Tickets are reasonably priced and the tour is very enjoyable. Lots of different animals. The rescue turtles are particularly amazing and lovely to look at! Well worth a visit.

Such a lovely little aquarium! Great way to escape the sun for an hour or so. Our favourite thing to do was watching the ocean tank. We sat for a good 30 minutes watching the family of sting rays and sharks swimming around. Lovely to know part of the entrance fee goes towards conservation work and helping rehabilitate injured sea turtles. It was a real treat to see some of the turtles.

We visited the aquarium on a Wednesday specifically to see feeding time. It was amazing. Aiser was absolutely brilliant at explaining things to us and you could tell that he’s really passionate about his job. The receptionist was really good and remembered us from our enquiry the day before. It’s a relatively small place but it’s packed with exhibits and so interesting. Try to visit at feeding times, seeing the sharks and octopus feeding was brilliant. Take your time, your not pressured to go through in a rush. Definitely worth a visit, personally, I’d go back to see it again.

Cost us €55 for a family of four and we were in there less than an hour. Many of the tanks were empty and there were two tanks that each held one large turtle but they were so tiny they literally had no room to swim and were stuck in a corner. It was awful, we felt terrible that we’d contributed to that by paying the entry fee. Please avoid!

We very much enjoyed our visit to the Lanzarote Aquarium. The place was clean and well maintained. The fish looked healthy and the large central tank was impressive. A small shark tunnel was included and everything was signposted and labelled in different languages. The place is quite small but well worth a visit. It was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel the Melia Salinas.

A great establishment which seems very established. We were very impressed with their work on conservation and it would appear that that is been going on for several years. We really did enjoy our visit and went around three or four times to take it all in! Great website with loads of information and English translation. Just search for it through a browser. I hope that this helps.

Very overpriced. Not very big but some interesting exhibits. I certainly wouldn't go twice!

Is the aquarium suitable for my 4 year old who uses a wheelchair. Will she see things.

I would say yes. They have their own entrance for strollers and wheelchairs, and even though some of the tanks are a bit high up, many of them is definitely so that she can see everything. The little shark tunnel and the big tank with the biggest fishes she can definitely see everything.

We paid something like 23 euros for 2 adults and a 3 year old. AS people have said it's not too far. It's also quite near a little shopping centre with a few bars and restaurants. About a 5 minute walk.
