- Tiziana c5 contributionsThe cove is really beautiful but you have to go early because being small there is not always room. We also ate the fish well in the restaurant nearby. The smell of sulfur is slightly felt but then you get used to it, you can snorkel.Visited August 2024Traveled with friendsWritten August 29, 2024
- caroline pMilton Keynes, United Kingdom282 contributionsWe visited the beach daily whilst staying at a nearby hotel, and it's just wonderful. The sea is clear and sand clean . People can dive off of the rocks, and lifeguards are there each day, too. The water was never cold and although the beach gets busy there was also enough rooms for sunbeds or towels . Would definitely recommend and we would returnVisited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 14, 2024
- melimaje11 contributionsSuperb location close to all amenities and transport and places to visit. Sandy beach and clear water contrary to what has been said in other comments. Swimming every day at the end of September. Sometimes unpleasant sewage smells but not every day. My accommodation was 2 minutes from the beach in front of a Great Pension but still very quiet. I'm going back with my eyes closed. Completely satisfiedVisited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten October 10, 2024

This was located right across the road from our hotel. A beautiful beach with plenty of sun beds (€10 per bed) A very quiet and tranquil place to relax with a book and enjoy the sunshine whilst adding in the odd dip in the clear blue sea. There are a couple of restaurants/bars either side of the beach, although we didn’t use them. The sea was amazing to swim in, lots of snorkellers but I didn’t have the equipment for this, it would have been amazing to give it a go. Well worth a visit.

A truly stunning cove beach. Sun loungers are €20 for two with an umbrella but very much worth it. The sea was beautifully warm and not pebbly at all. Swimming in the sea was a delight! Surrounded by a small range of bars and restaurants. Only regret was that we didn’t bring snorkels as the water is so clear!

We are staying in Cala en Bosch but decided to get on the bus to explore Cala Blanca. Wish we hadn’t bothered. We got off the bus and walked to the beach and really didn’t like the look of it. Was very tiny, busy cove beach with lots of rocks. We decided not to sit on the beach, as we didn’t like the look of it. We had a wander around centre and had some food in the Irish bar. There was very little in Cala Blanca and we were very pleased we weren’t staying there. Was pleased to get taxi back to Cala en Bosch for €11. Cala Blanca wasn’t for us.

Cala Blanca is a pretty little cove. I was a bit unfortunate in that I arrived two days after a nasty storm which whipped the sea up into a bit of a frenzy for a few days. It brought all the dirt and detritus on to the beach and the waters were red flagged for a few days. But when it cleared the sea returned (mostly) to crystal clear water. And when it did it was clear how beautiful it would normally be. The little bars and restaurants around the cliffs are so cute too. Perfect for a lazy beach day.

Had to wait for a table but glad we did. The views of the inlet are just amazing. We had tropical salad to start and seafood paella! It was the best paella we’d had all holiday. Waiter recommended a wine which was very good! Willbegoing back again on our next holiday to Cala Blanca

Lovely small cove with a sandy beach, crystal clear waters, umbrellas and sun beds. I Have to say that part of the beach did look a bit suspect - muddy. Quite popular, with a choice of restaurants and beach bars close by. We didn't stay long but it looked pleasant.

Nice Sandy beach, 2 sun beds and umbrella 18€ per day. Some great restaurants on sides, recommended for everyone some seaweed on sea bed gets trodden on and breaks up in the sea floating on surface. Great food and drink.

We are looking to visit towards the end of Oct (22nd for 5 days). However I wondered are there still bars restaurants attractions etc open or will most have closed for the end of the season by then? Is it still warm in October and anything else we might need to know about this time of year?

Hello
Never been to this area before, been looking at the cala blanca sun hotel, is there bars and restaurants close by to this hotel ?
Also not looking to go ' clubbing ' as such, but a bar with maybe music on or a sing song/ karoke nearby.
Also can i ask please is this place flat or is it all hilly?
And i love shopping is there enough shops there or would i hv to go further afield. TIA
We are 2 young at heart 55 and 66 yr old's.

As above, I would highly recommend Cuitadella by bus as is a beautiful old town and on one level unless you go down to the harbour.

My Wife and I have booked a week at one of the Villa Amerillas in Cala Blanca from 7th October, Will there be much to do, and places to go? I did want to hire a car as I'm not confident about driving on the right, and I get the impression that some of the hire companies try to rip you off with fuel and excess insurance. Joe

What's the nearest beach where you an swim nude?
Written August 22, 2016
You can in most beaches as the Spanish are very open-minded, but the most popular that I am aware of are Santa Tomás which can be got to by bus from Ciudadella at the Plaça des Borne or if you are driving you can get there easily by driving on the Maó road (the main road through the island) towards Ferreries then when you go through Ferreries you will see signs to Es Migjorn Gran you then drive south, total journey time would be about 30 minutes if driving. Then there is also Son Bou which is just along the south coast from Santa Tomás, but as I say people just generally do what they want. Hope this helps but if you need any further help please let me know I have been going to the island for some 35 years and know most of it well
