- David LFarnham, United Kingdom22 contributionsPerfect little beach for the dayWe stayed at the Mitsis resort at the other end of the bay and the beach is completely different. The beach at Kardamena is a lot softer, not quite fine sand but nice enough. Dependent upon which sunbeds you chose depends if you pay for them. If you don't pay up front then you can be expected to order something from them. The choice of drinks varies and can be quite a bit more expensive than the bars / restaurants just 100m away. The beach is clean & quiet and perfect for relaxing. The sea is clear and you'll find lots of fish if you snorkel near the rocks to the left side of the beach.Visited August 2021Written August 28, 2021
- Davide P7 contributionsKardamena - The third day in Kos.I stayed yesterday in Kardamena, the first week on July. I have never been before and I definitely would raccomended it. The heavenly sea, little wild and countless restaurants and bars in the opposite of the beach. The praise for two ubrellas and sunbeds are very cheap, only 8 euros for Two people but if you lunch in the beache's restaurant you don't pay nothing. Inside there is a beautiful village, fill of dress shop or object shop very nice where you can eat a delicious Greek food. The best experience I did still now in this amazing island.Visited July 2023Traveled with friendsWritten July 6, 2023

We Stopped at Kristas family beach bar,( each beach bar has their own sun loungers and area of beach to the sea, (€2.5 per bed) and waitress service included. The beach was well looked after and clean, I believe each beach bar looks after their own plot. The sea warm and fish come in quite close. Also there are showers to was off after your trip.Visited September 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten September 18, 2020

Lovely beach if your prepared to walk a little to Banana Beach bar and beyond - lots of very nice quiet spots to escape the crowds beyond the wartime bunkers and before Malibu beach bar. Walking even further towards Mitsis village there are larger expanses of bare beach with not a sole in sight and whilst spending a day at that end we had the company of a lovely local golden Labrador laying with us on the sand and coming swimming with us.
Shoreline is very pebbly though and along with sea urchins in abundance beach slippers are a must if you want to enter the sea. Its very shallow for quite a distance however and was warm and crystal clear.
Unfortunately there was quite a bit of rubbish left by both locals and tourists and we spent the first few days collecting three or four bags full until it was clear. After that there was just the odd bit of plastic here and there which we also collected and placed into the bins behind Banana Beach bar - seems such a shame that a beautiful beach is polluted in this way but we did what we could.
At the other end of the resort there is also a smaller area beyond all the bars sunbeds if you want to escape the hoards. In the centre at each side of the harbour there are lots of bars with sunbeds if that’s your preference.
Spent many happy days laying on the nice soft sand in the hot sun listening to the waves lapping at your feet - what could be better than that?

Lots of free sunbeds at various beach bars. We ended up at the Starlight beach bar after being told off for moving sunbeds at the adjacent bar. Staff here are lovely so we had a lovely relaxing day on the beach

Beautiful beach with some lovely bars along the front where you can use the sun beds and soak up the scenery. 2 beds and umbrella approx €6-7 all day. Sea is clear and refreshing. Beach is clean and mostly sand with some shale. Take a dip.

Well I can’t really tell because we used an airport shuttle to get to the resort. But I think it wouldn’t be bad if you have an international driving license if you want to drive there :)

Can you get a bus to paradise beach? If so how much does it cost? Also does anyone know the rates of hiring a small car?

Don’t know about buses but loads of boat trips are available. Rather than book through your hotel or tour operators just go down to the water front in the evening ( 7-9pm best). All the boats are in and you can book direct. Only works of warning is book early, we went down 2nd evening of our holiday & a lot of the days were fully booked.
Prices vary hugely depending on the type of boat. Anything from luxury to ferry available.
If it’s the bubbles your going to see at ‘Bubble Beach’ I wouldn’t bother, it’s a small area of rather unimpressive bubbles. If it’s the water sports & other beach fun than definitely worth a visit.

Kardamena beach is so close literally a few minutes walk depending where you are. We stayed at Phillipos Apartments and the beach was right opposite us. The shops and transport links are probably a ten minute walk if not less.

Hi where is the beach with the tree in it looks amazing Could you show me the exact location on Google Maps thanks
