Nice beach with plenty of bars and restaurants offering food / drinks waiter service and many offering sunbeds and chairs.

The sea shelves gently, although there are some annoying rocks in places so you have to be careful.

A beautiful beach, we stopped for lunch at Angela’s beach bar, food 6/10 mediocre but cocktails served on the beach were inexpensive €5 for a Harvey Wallbanger.
Kardamenas bars from the 80s have been transformed into lots of small shops.

Crystal clear water with breathtaking scenery. The beach is a mixture of sand and pebbles, but the water is crystal clear.

We stayed at the Mitsis resort at the other end of the bay and the beach is completely different. The beach at Kardamena is a lot softer, not quite fine sand but nice enough. Dependent upon which sunbeds you chose depends if you pay for them. If you don't pay up front then you can be expected to order something from them.
The choice of drinks varies and can be quite a bit more expensive than the bars / restaurants just 100m away.
The beach is clean & quiet and perfect for relaxing. The sea is clear and you'll find lots of fish if you snorkel near the rocks to the left side of the beach.

Perfect. No one about. Much needed peace.

Plenty of beachcats...

I'll be back soon. With the family.

Always miss Kos..

Lots of free sunbeds at various beach bars. We ended up at the Starlight beach bar after being told off for moving sunbeds at the adjacent bar. Staff here are lovely so we had a lovely relaxing day on the beach

Don't normally like the beach but it was lovely, particularly liked Vachros beach bar who had good drinks and snacks and really comfy sunbeds

Lovely beach if your prepared to walk a little to Banana Beach bar and beyond - lots of very nice quiet spots to escape the crowds beyond the wartime bunkers and before Malibu beach bar. Walking even further towards Mitsis village there are larger expanses of bare beach with not a sole in sight and whilst spending a day at that end we had the company of a lovely local golden Labrador laying with us on the sand and coming swimming with us.

Shoreline is very pebbly though and along with sea urchins in abundance beach slippers are a must if you want to enter the sea. Its very shallow for quite a distance however and was warm and crystal clear.

Unfortunately there was quite a bit of rubbish left by both locals and tourists and we spent the first few days collecting three or four bags full until it was clear. After that there was just the odd bit of plastic here and there which we also collected and placed into the bins behind Banana Beach bar - seems such a shame that a beautiful beach is polluted in this way but we did what we could.

At the other end of the resort there is also a smaller area beyond all the bars sunbeds if you want to escape the hoards. In the centre at each side of the harbour there are lots of bars with sunbeds if that’s your preference.

Spent many happy days laying on the nice soft sand in the hot sun listening to the waves lapping at your feet - what could be better than that?
