We’ve been fortunate during our many visits around the Greek islands to enjoy a number of really good days out at sea on many many boat trips and we have to say this one is right up there with one of the best we have been on. After having our original day out cancelled due to extreme winds, we finally made it on board a few days later just before our return flight home – and what a way to end our holiday. Departing Kardamena harbour at 10am, we were warmly welcomed aboard by Kate and Phil. Sunbeds secured we settled down as Kate provided a welcome speech providing a little back ground as to what was in store and that just to ask for whatever was required. After about an hour or so at sea the first stop is at the little island of Kastri just off Kefalos. Here you stop for a swim break and can swim over to the island and ring the church bell for good luck. Water here was so clear and there are lots of fish to see whilst snorkelling. Take aqua shoes if you want to climb onto Kastri as not only is it rocky but there are plenty of sea urchins in the shallows just lying in wait for an unsuspecting foot! You can borrow both aqua shoes and face masks from Kate as they hold a generous supply on board if you don’t possess your own. Leaving Kastri you then travel a little further into Kamari Bay where you lay anchor whilst lunch is prepared and bread is thrown overboard to be quickly devoured by hundreds of bright blue sea bream. Again jump in and just lay there with your face mask and snorkel and marvel at the fish as they swim all around. Once ready lunch is provided at the stern of the boat with all guests sitting round the table shaded in the main from the sun. The lunch was excellent and on our day out comprised of lemon and oregano shredded chicken, a mix if cold meats, ham and salami. Also had feta cheese, olives and tzatziki, mixed salad and a selection of different breads. You also get a complementary drink with your, dinner, wine, beer or juice etc. The chicken especially was really good, juicy and very tasty. Not sure if we just had a guest list of ten Gannets on board that day but there was not a morsel left over and we all agreed it really was excellent fayre. After lunch you then visit paradise beach, where you can choose the option of partaking in some water sport activities if you desire. You can also see the amazing underwater volcanic bubbles coming from the sea bed at bubble beach. Its an amazing spectacle whilst under the water looking back towards the sun, laying in the water with bubbles breaking all around you – your own personal enormous jacuzzi! Well worth taking either a waterproof phone or camera to capture the scene. After staying here for an hour or so its then time unfortunately to set off back to Kardamena – arriving back about 5pm Overall then our summary of our day out. It was brilliant. Great hosts and we were well looked after throughout. Bar prices are very reasonable, small cans of Alfa 2 euros and glasses of wine at 2.50 euros, water at 50 cents. Quality of the lunch was excellent. Smallish boat, no more than ten passengers on board at any one time, chilled, relaxed and just a fabulous day out at sea and what’s more to like than that. Would not hesitate in recommending Zeus for your boat trip and we wish Kate and Phil every success in these uncertain times as they fully deserve it. Thank you for such an enjoyable day out and our only regret was that we only managed to go once, would have loved to go out again time permitting. Would have given it ten stars if it were possible. Andy & Sue. Wed 9th Sept 2020

As previously mentioned by many others this is a truly memorable boat trip in every respect that cannot simply be faulted from the moment you board till the time that sadly you have to disembark although it was a nice touch to go for cocktails with all the other guests at a local taverna when back at Kardamena harbour. Although no BBQ the food supplied was deicious and plentiful, the scenery and swim stop locations and availability of equipment and water sports also a bonus. Phil the skipper and the lovely host Kate made the trip so relaxing and enjoyable drinks plentiful and reasonably priced too!!! Hopefully will be back again in kos soon and will definately be booking this trip again. one final piece if you read this Kate that tartan bikini is amazing!!!!

If you ever visit Kardamena, make sure you do the Zeus Superior boat trip! It was the best day of the holiday by far. Extremely well organised, fun and friendly, Kate and Phil are the perfect hosts. The trip takes you to parts of the island you may not usually get to see, with plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel, and partake in various water sports. Or you can just lay back and enjoy the sun! The lunch provided is beautiful and there's a wide variety of drinks available (all fantastically priced!). This trip is an absolute must-do, I can't recommend it enough. Thank you Kate and Phil, can't wait to set sail with you again.

After visiting Kos 4years ago we decided to visit again and see if this boat trip was still running and luckily for us it was! Just as fab the second time round, both Kate and Phil are attentive hosts who are knowledgable and ensure everyone is comfortable and having a great time. The boat holds a max of 10 guests which makes the trip even more special and we have been lucky both times to have such lovely travel companions to spend the day with going around the bays. The lunch although not a bbq currently is a lovely fresh prepared meat and salad platter. 100% recommend and would return a third time if ever travelling in the area again!

We had one of the best days of our holiday sailing on Zeus. The boat itself is very well kept, and the low passenger numbers make it seem extra special. All the swimming stops were unique and fun, and all equipment (swimming shoes, snorkels etc.) provided. Even though the BBQ wasn't available at the moment the Greek meze style lunch was all really fresh and delicious. The drinks were also really reasonably priced. And finally Kate and Phil, our host and skipper, were both very attentive and friendly. Honestly, the trip could not have been improved. If you are in Kardamena it is definitely worth the little bit extra money compared to one of the more over crowded boat trips. Thanks so much for a great day guys, from Charlotte & Alisdair
