Excellent Excellent Excellent !!
Had a fabulous morning tour with Carol from The Bike Shack and I can highly recommend.
I visited Kos last week for the first time and albeit the hotel resort was superb I wanted to escape to stretch my legs and see some of the island at the same time.
Carol responded very quickly when I rang / emailed her about a bike ride and we arranged to do the Honey, Peacocks & History Tour. I had a fabulous morning out and it was really great to see a number of local sites in the Kardemena area.
As it says on the tin – we did do honey, peacocks and a fair bit of history. All which were great to see, fabulous and fun.
I haven't done much mountain biking before but Carol was really good and we went at a pace which suited me. The bike was in excellent condition and I’m quite sure she can look after experts to beginners.
The tour ended extremely well back in Kardemena but you’ll need to do the tour to find that bit out :-)
So if you’re considering a bike ride whilst in Kos, book a tour with The Bike Shack / Carol – I’m quite sure you won’t be disappointed!!

I was on an all inclusive resort holiday on Kos but wanted to take my own bike and explore the island, i looked on google to find bike tours and found Carol at the bike shack, im very glad i did..
First Carol was very helpful and responsive via email before i went and when i was there she met me on a trail to give me tips on routes and information about the island, flora and fauna. I decided to follow some of these trails which were great but i also took the volcano tour which was just the right amount of challenge for me and a spectacular ride. Fantastic cafe after all the hard riding to the volcano crater then a long descent back to the ferry. I would higly recommend contacting Carol if you are visiting and take the tours on offer, you will not regret it.

I recently went on a tour in Kos with Carol from the bike shack and had the best time ever! As an ex-resident of Kos it was amazing to see areas of island that I had never seen before whilst also getting in some exercise! I am not a bike rider and it was very windy on the day but Carol was very happy to explain the different tour and difficulties to me and help me choose the one best for me!! Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kos, it was a great experience with a lovely your guide!

Took the Peacock & Honey mountain bike tour with my 2 teenage sons and it really was excellent: plenty of interesting stops and the fast ride down from the castle was strenuous enough to keep the lads entertained.
The bikes are very good quality and Carol is an expert guide. We had meze at the Pelagos restaurant to finish and I cannot recommend the place enough - we took the whole family (7 of us) there the following night and had a great time.

I have rent a bike from "The Bike Shack" for 5 days. Email contact was very smooth, i got quick responses for all of my questions. Carol is a kind person, she gave me some hints and advices about routes and best places to visit on Kos island. Bicycle delivery and pickup service was on time.
Everything was perfect and i enjoyed a ride, I recomend.

I did the Honey, Peacocks and History tour with Carol from The Bike Shack Kos yesterday and it was excellent in every respect. Carol was a fantastic guide; I tried and bought some honey; I impersonated a peacock; I marvelled at the sights from the Andromachia Fort (the name might be wrong!); and was exhilarated by the downhill on the “Yellow Brick Road”... plus had some great meze to round things off. I wanted a not too strenuous bike ride, not having ridden for quite some time, and this was perfect. It was 21.6 miles with an elevation gain of 1,352 ft, and was 2 hr 42 mins of cycling over 4 hr 30 mins (i.e. stopping for the history bits etc) - all info courtesy of Strava - but did not feel out of my comfort zone at all despite the temperature. I can heartily recommend this, and I might brave Carol’s harder tours myself if returning to Kos and a bit fitter!

On 8 July, I participated in the MTB-tour on the crater island Nisiros.
Although it was sometimes quite difficult, the temperature and the trail, we enjoyed the beautiful environment and the excellent accompaniment of Carol, our guide. It is highly recommended. A good condition is needed. Thanks Carol
