A beautiful and very ornate palace which will take about an hour to visit, a really unexpected find and so pleased we went. Our 9 year old was well entertained too. 16 euros for 2 adults and 1 child. Not pushy at all sales wise, just a few quality souvenirs if you want to buy a memento - watch the... More

Lived here in Gandia for 15 years and visited many times with family and friends visiting us.Always beautiful .Very interesting as most people think the Borjas are Italian not coming from this region. In July I took part in a special evening visit which was more extensive than the usual tour .Absolutely fabulous highly recommended sadly.only available during July and... More

From the outside, it looks like many other Spanish older buildings but step into the courtyard & it's a Romeo & Juliette courtyard/balcony/palace. Inside there are plenty of rooms in the tour & enough info in the free guide. We found it interesting but there wasn't much by way of furniture. Was interesting how different the formal & state felt... More

A must see cultural visit whilst in Gandia. Fascinating history to this breathtaking palace. Gilded ceilings, original 16th century ceramic floors and a macabrely coffin shaped chapel are just some of the delights to look out for.

Parked next to the palace in the town, no indication of the jewel behind the walls. Very friendly helpful staff, eager to assist with any questions. Cost of entry was EUR5 with concession, 7 without. Palace dates back to 15th Century and was bought by the Borgias in 1485 from the King. It was held by them until mid 17th Century.... More

A fabulous attraction located in the relatively unknown town of Gandia is well worth the 4 or 5 euros entry cost in it's own right as a beautiful building which has been carefully restored and maintained by the Jesuits. Add in the history associated with the infamous Borgias as portrayed on TV and another layer is revealed. A simple exterior... More

Now partially used as a Jesuit school, part of the palace is open to visitors.. There was a guided tour on the day we visited, but rather than wait for it to start we opted to go round ourseleves using the leaflet provided. The room stewards were very helpful, giving us more information on the contents, history and decoration of... More

Brilliant building with excellent objects, paintings and decoration. Maybe I missed something but there was very little if anything by way of explanation of what the paintings portrayed or any historical significance to the displays. Context is everything in places like this and I feel the experience would have been much deeper and meaningful with some explanations!

Nice place to look round could a bit more interactive for visitors. 6 Euros and will take around 45 to get round as two of the rooms are closed. Quiet on a Monday afternoon to visit but doesn't open till 1600hrs.
