Spent the day at the largest lake which is beautiful. Plenty of parking space and space on the lake side. The water is beautiful with warm shallows and the most amazing coloured water. Perfect place for a day out with the family, very clean with good facilities would recommend

Love this place so much! The water is crystal clear and usually quite calm. So nice to go for a swim and not come out salty or fear of being eaten by a shark! Not much shade so make sure you come prepared So awesome to have a natural place like this in NZ .. we need to ensure its... More

Lakes are amazing: clear water, white sand and just so peaceful. Very recommended! Young kids would love this calm water and there is a shallow entrance too to lay down and let day pass by...

Amazing lake and even looks more amazing in the photos. A must if you are in the area. We headed to the east side of the lake. There is a walk up the hill and you get great views of the lake .

Been camping here at Promenade Point Kai Iwi Lake. Fab time and so safe for the grandchildren. Super guy called Laine and his wife, offer movies in the open air some evenings. He also took our children for a ride on his biscuit from his boat, their first experience of such an adventure. Really great guy, can't thank him enough From Granny x

Lovely kiwi summer hang out. Very shallow water around the edge - safe for children to play in. The sand is very fine for a lake, you'd think you are on a beach. Good facilities on site - clean flush-able toilets and showers, campsite, and a cute food stand (Kai Iwi Kai) where you can get fastfood and hire kayaks.... More

If I could spend every day here I would, this place is like magic. The water is warm but then cold at the same time. no weed no shells just pure white sand.
