We carry out the historical/cultural city tour of Rancagua and its surroundings, Mauricio has a lot of knowledge on the subject and shares it with you in a very enjoyable and entertaining way. The places visited are most interesting. We loved Coya with its mining history surrounded by mountains. 100% recommended and we hope to take more tours in the future.

Our party of three travelled to Chile in November 2015 and was looking for a good vineyard tour outside of Santiago. We did some research and found O'Higgins Tours based out of Rancagua. Brian was very prompt with his responses and we quickly had a date and time picked--O'Higgins was very accommodating to our schedule. Also, Brian gave us a heads up about the commuter trains being temporarily out of service, and gave us an excellent recommendation for getting a bus to Rancagua.
Mauricio picked us up at the bus station in Rancagua right on time. The car ride to the Anakena vineyard took about 45 minutes or so, during which time Mauricio gave us a great introduction to the region and its history. His English is excellent.
The Anakena vineyard is breathtakingly beautiful. Acres of vineyards under a clear blue sky, with the Andes in the background. The tour guide at Anakena was also very informative and took us through the whole process from grape to bottle. The tour was capped off with a tasting at their magnificent bar. Their carmenère (varietal which is Chile's specialty) was fantastic. All of us--we three, Mauricio, and the Anakena tour guide (whose name escapes me)--had a great chat during the tasting. Afterwards, Mauricio drove us back to the bus station to complete the tour.
I had the sense that it's a little off the beaten path, but in my experience this is usually where you find the most memorable travel moments. And O'Higgins Tours certainly impressed with their knowledgeable personnel and courteous service. I'd recommend these folks in a heartbeat; if ever I find myself in Chile again, I'd definitely do another of their tours.
Thank you to Brian and Mauricio for helping to make our trip to Chile a great one!

i booked two guided tours with these guys...the first one was a slightly weird tour of where pinochet's government tortured people in the city...only bummer is you can't actually go in to the places, you only see them from the outside, and you get the feeling you're not really meant to be there, but still interesting if you are into "dark tourism". the second tour was more for history freaks, about a battle there if you're into that kind of stuff.lots of details and it was entertaining.each tour took about an hour and half. killed a few hours in rancagua where there's not much else to do. good.

Hi, johnny. Many thanks for your review. We're glad you found the tours interesting. Regarding the tours of the torture sites, unfortunately due to the political sensitivities still stirred up by the memory of the military dictatorship in Chile, and the fact that many of the buildings are now abandoned or are still in use by the government or are now private residences, entry and taking photos is impossible. However, from next year on we will be providing one free "postcard" of the tour to all tour participants. Please forgive our delay in responding to your review. We are still learning the ropes with Trip Advisor! Thanks again, and we hope to see you again here in Chile soon.

i used services of O'Higgins for a wine tour after another company refused to quote me a price over the phone, and took more than 3 days to send me a price quote by email!then i lost patience and booked with O'Higgins instead and gave me a price straight away by phone and took me on the tour the next day. the company took me to vineyard and gave me lots of interesting information about the history of winemaking in the area on the way and one of the guys from O'Higgins even speaks some Afrikaans!. there was a local guide from winecompany did the tour of the facilities and the tour of the vineyard included tasting 6 premium wines it was also for me ever very interesting to see similarities between Chile and South Africas wine industry.
Baie dankie O'Higgins Tours, dit was ongelooflik lekker!

Thank you Brian and Mauricio for helping to make our trip around Rancagua a great one!Touring around in the area of Rancagua seems rather difficult and this was a good way of getting it organized.
In January 2016, we – Marie, Jaroslav and Jana- took the Full-Day Inca Trail Tour guided by Brian and Mauricio with O'Higgins Tours, and our experience was excellent on all factors. We could say, that O'Higgins Tours is looking to be the best company in turism in Rancagua.
On our tour, we went through the Chilean countryside along the area’s very own Inca trail, where you saw the rests roads, temples, and fort of Incas here in the heart of Chile. Amazing views and nature!
Pucara La Compania near Rancagua is not Machu Picchu, but was something new for us, because nobody of us knows, that Incas were so far in south.
Temple of the Sun in Maipo near Santiago was something from mythology and looks nereby like Cuzco ruins of puma.
Tour Two:
Rio Cipreses Nature Reserve Trekking Tour
On this trek we visited some attractions in the reserve:
From the entrance of the reserve, we visited Sendero Las Arpas paths to smelter of their copper mines, beautifull vievpoint with Elephant Rock.
The La Guardia viewpoint, with its spectacular view of the Cachapoal valley.
The picnic by a nice, cool waterfall and rock pool before continuing on up to a second viewpoint higher up.
At the end we visited the nesting ground of the reserve’s famous parrots, who are most active at this time of day.
We went back to Rancagua happy, it was great, thank you Brian and Mario.

I was extremely impressed with the Inca tour - Brian and Mauricio really know their stuff and have put a huge amount of work into making the tour interesting and tailored to each individual. It was very interesting, and the views from the fort are excellent. It was great to learn so much about Chile's mining history, as well as its Inca heritage. Booking, paying and transport worked really well. This tour was definitely one of the real highlights of my time in Chile, and I would really recommend it to anyone interested in seeing something a little different.

I was very happy with this tour, especially because I wouldn't have seen these sites at all otherwise. Brian and Mauricio are professional and friendly, and have obviously done a lot of research and work for these tours. I learned some new things and had an excellent time.

just wanted to note that when I try to access the website, a malware warning comes up,
as it's been hacked or overtaken by some (apparently) pornographic sites from singapore (according to the google warning)
would have loved to have checked them out

Dear User,
Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. While we have been having this problem for the last week or so, and finally resolved it yesterday, we were regrettably unaware of the pornographic nature of the site promoted by the hackers, which is particularly embarrassing for us. Our Web Designer has since sorted it out, and we are contacting the hosting company to do our best to make sure it isn't recurring. In the meantime, as a token of our gratitude for pointing this out to us, we would like to offer you a free mini Central Chilean Inca Trail cycling tour for up to three people. We will be sending you a private message with a redemption code for you to present on arrrival in Rancagua to claim your free tour and our scheduled tour times. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you in Rancagua soon and showing you the nearby Inca archaeological site.

In January 2013, my girlfriend and I took the Half-Day Inca Trail Tour guided by Brian and Mauricio with O'Higgins Tours, and our experience was excellent on all factors. We could tell that O'Higgins Tours is looking to be a key player in the up and coming Chilean tourism market.
We set out from Rancagua and were brought to La CompañÃa hill, which at first glance, looks like nothing but a run of the mill hill in the 6th region; however, Brian and Mauricio took us up the hill and brought the historical significance and great landscape to life.
We really enjoyed learning more about how involved the Inca were in the region and how structures, such as walls and forts, were used in their culture. The view is also fantastic!
In spite of the heat, we were able to enjoy the tour in both English and Spanish, as it was easier for my partner (Chilena) to understand in Spanish and I could really get the full story in English.
It is definitely for people that enjoy walking. The tour is about 3 hours, so bring a good set of trainers!
Overall, the 6th region and its capital, Rancagua, are always overlooked, but with O'Higgins Tours they have done a good job at bringing something of interest to anybody looking for something outside of Santiago.
Great tour and great service. Thanks, guys!
