Very nice wines and beautiful property. Our host was very nice. You will have a good experience.
It did, however, feel a bit corporate, perhaps less casual. I think you can find other family centric wineries with equally good wines in the area.

I have been a fan of this wine for many years so this year returning from the south we made a detour to visit the Chateau.
The location is superb and it provides the opportunity to drive through so many familiar wines. However, the work to present this wine maker was top quality. The Chateau and the surrounding gardens were picturesque. The best is saved for the person tour that was central to the visit. The welcome we received from the young lady who introduced us to the history, vines and the wine-making of Pichon Baron was first class and she so understood someone who had waiting so long to make this visit.
I am not sure how many people will make use of these comments but if you stumble across Pichon Baron please stop off, you will not be disappointed.

We booked our private tour several months in advance, and were greeted promptly and in a very friendly manner. The fact that this estate offers private tours and tastings is a surprise, given how their wines are so popular, highly rated, and relatively scarce.
The tour is comprehensive, starting in their Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, then on to the winery facility, where we were given a history lesson on the property and an outline of the current ownership. The production facility itself is large, spotlessly clean, and very busy on the first day of the Merlot harvest. We say both barrel cellars, the bottle cave, and then on to the tasting room, where we sampled four of the estates wines, including two (!) vintages of the grand vin. Our friendly tour guide was pleased with our enthusiasm, and was nice enough to offer us the ‘09 in addition to the current vintage, ‘15. We bought a bottle and one magnum of the ‘15 at fair prices.
A wonderful place, super cool people, and some of the best wine we’ve tasted.

Château Pichon Baron is one of the most beautiful château in Bordeaux. My wife and I enjoyed a private tour with Luke, our tour guide, who was very knowledgeable and personable. At the conclusion we enjoyed tastings from two second label and the first label wines. Château Pichon Baron is a Second Grand Classé wine and one of the great historic vineyards of the Medoc. I strongly recommend the tour and tasting.

The estate and chateau are gorgeous with a reflective pond in front of the chateau. We arrived at 9am and were greeted warmly - it was the only time available and we gladly took it! Our tour guide Marion was really nice, extremely knowledgeable and did a wonderful job explaining the history of the chateau, the different wines they make, the Bordeaux and Pauillac région and answered all of our questions! The wine tasting was also great! We tried all 3 of their wines in the 2015 vintage. We really loved the Pichon baron and purchased the 2015 magnum which came in a nice box! The les griffins was also very good and we purchased the 75 cL bottle and our wine tour fees were waived. A really wonderful experience - thank you Marion! Highly recommend making a reservation here! We plan on returning to try the 2016 vintage and getting more of the Pichon baron wine next year!

We visited Chateau Pichon Baron as part of a private guided tour of Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Very happy to have visited this wonderful Chateau and tasted their wines. Staff really knowledgeable and nice.

We stopped at Chateau Pichon Baron during a 5 day bike tour of the Bordeaux region. The Chateau itself is beautiful, but is not part of the tour; in fact, as we learned during the tour, Pichon Baron is now owned by the global insurance company AXA, and the corporate offices of their wine division are in the Chateau (along with some guest rooms for important clients of the firm.)
The winery has been extensively renovated, the tour was quite interesting and the tasting was very good. I was surprised to find out that they don't ship wines themselves to the US (minus the VAT, which covers the shipping costs;) we had better luck with that in Bourgogne and Provence.
Worth the visit, and as suggested in my title for this review it is perhaps a good look into the future of the corporation controlled wine making business. For look in the opposite direction, be sure to check out Chateau Pontet-Canet.

Amazing place. Our guide was a young girl who gave us the history behind the chateau. Explained the current ownership. Very knowledgeable about wine. The facilities and cellar they have are exquisite. We had a private tour and she poured us more than one glass.

Tour was a private tour with one of their young guides. His knowledge was reasonable but not exceptional. The property and the chateau were one of the nicest we saw. Nice sampling of a few of their wines. Tasted the first label 2011 wine, which was far too young so ripped your face off at 9am.
Great tour, I would highly recommend. Cost was around 15 dollars, but well worth it.

We would like to visit this Chateau on Sunday 29 May, 2016; however we would like to arrive at approximately 11:30 am.
Is it possible to arrange a tour for 2 persons at a time close to that. I realize that the time from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm might
be a time when you are closed. We will have to leave the area by approximately 2:00 pm, so our time is pretty constrained.
Thank you for any response that you may be able to provide.
