Being there remembering all the story of Karbla where victory to the blood against swards where they give there blood to keep GOD Name and believe on the top, we could end up with ISIS or Al Qaeda ideology.
Must read Karbala Blood Battled to understand, and being there will show the scene.

Religious but also a historical place
Nov 2018 • Family
Visited at the very busy time of Arbaeen but as the crowds receded, it was easier to understand the history and mix with locals. Very friendly atmosphere with lots to learn about history

Only one step to the heaven!

The saint Abbas(pbuh) was one of the brothers of Imam Hussein(pbuh) the third Imam of the Shia and the grandson of prophet Muhammad(pbuh), who sacrificed himself for the Imam and his family in the battle of Karbala in order to take water for the children of the Imam who were prevented from taking water from the Forat(river) by the enemies of the Imam for 3 days.
This shrine has almost 500 meter distance to the shrine of Imam Hussein and is highly respected by the Shia from all over the world.

A great place called Janabe Abbas A.S. tomb must visit,
a shrine is opposite to Imam Hussain A.S. at a walking distance. A brother of Imam Hussain A.S. was killed on 10th of Moharram (Ashuraa) at the bank of river Phurrat after cutting his both hands while trying to fetch water for Sakina A.S; a niece.

Very close to imam hussein shrine. In the middle of old city of karbala. Surrounded by souk with lots of shops, streets are always crowded with passionate visitors. Restaurants serve the traditional Iraqi plates
