My girlfriend and I visited La Palma in June / July 2016 for a last-minute, two-week diving / hiking holiday. We found Case de Buceo online and were in touch with them immediately before our trip. We were pleasantly surprised by the enthusiastic and laid-back way of communicating. This convinced us we had to go for a couple of dives with them and are still very happy with that decision.

We did a total of ten dives spread out over five days. We're both somewhat experienced divers (PADI AOW) but we were a bit out of practice. Nanneke, Joost and staff (Agnes, Anouk and Willem) went to great lengths to make us feel safe, comfortable, but, above all, welcome in the fantastic underwater world of La Palma. They also went out of their way to provide us great local advice for our time above water.

The dive school is centrally located, which makes it a great base of operations since you'll dive (and drive) all around the island depending on conditions. If you're renting equipment they'll take care of equipment transport and rinsing. The only thing you have to do is show up at the dive spot and have a great day!

The rental equipment itself is solid and the dive masters are very knowledgable and know their way around. We weren't doing a course but listened in on some of the instruction sessions and were impressed by the teaching style and philosophy. This is something we have rarely encountered during previous trips all around the world.

The dive school has since moved to a new, larger location in town. Featuring more room and after-dive snacks and drinks. We got a personal tour and from what we saw, great times are ahead. We'll definitely be back!

Hola chicos, Thanks so much for this review! You are exactly telling everybody our view on diving! So that is great to read back. We had a great time diving with you and we are doing great on the new location. You really have to pass by one day to have a look in the new divecentre ;-) now it is finished! Saludos from a sunny La Palma and hopefully we meet again. Joost, Nanneke, Agnes, Willem, Anouck and Lori

My first time diving in La Palma. From the first contact, through all arrangements and the dives themselves, everything was perfect. Nanneke and Joost took care of us at every step. They carefully chose dive sites all around the island during our two week stay, according to the weather, tides and currents, our experience and our requirements. The equipment was excellent, always ready at our pre-planned dive site, knowledge of the dive sites was amazing, care, consideration and help wonderful throughout all of our dives. Dive groups were always small usually only the two of us with Nanneke, but never more than four and an instructor. Safety was always considered and no risks were taken at any time. Reasonable rates. A very relaxed atmosphere with no rushing before, between and after dives. Everybody always happy to meet up at a local bar after the day's dives to discuss the day.One of the best dive centres I have used. Will definitely be returning.

It was a brand new experience for us both never diving before both instructors looked after us amazing they were full of info on wildlife and all the kit we used whilst very closely watched we did 2 dives through the day we saw so much down there it is impossible to list we have both now caught the diving bug and cannot wait to come back we will do this again over and over again without question they work very hard for you to have a special time and I cannot put a price on that thank you so so much

I dived in october with this company. I rented the equipment by them and paid for a two divings day. The first one was ok, but in the second one the BCD failed (it inflated while I was deflating and I almost got shot to the surface. Fortunately my buddy catched me and no accident occurred).
However, since responsable for the equipment was the diving center, I asked them for a refund of the second diving which I couldn’t enjoy at all... but they denied.

Hola Valeria, Thank you for your review although it is not a good one. We are very sorry to hear from you almost a year later, after writing emails about what occurred. It is your good right to stick to your story on what happened, we have a different opinion as you already know. Maintenance of the equipment is of course very important and for a dive centre it is very important that the gear is in good condition. The thing we cannot avoid is how people treat our equipment. We tell people how to treat the gear before, during and after the dives during our briefings. Just to make sure that nothing happens with the divegear. Not controlling your boyance good can result in inflators filling with sand. Putting the gear in the sand instead of putting it on the designated place will cause damage to the divegear. Not doing a proper entry and exit can also be damaging to the equipment. If people refuse to follow our directions on how to treat the gear properly, problems can occur and are not the result of bad maintenance. Luckily our instructor who was diving with you assisted you with the problem and also explained after the dive what happened and how you can solve such a problem. It is also a thing you learn during a course because problems can happen. Besides that, you also finished the dive completely with a divetime of about 60 minutes. After the dives we also talked about what happened and everything seemed to be okay. Two weeks later we received e-mails from you about this and we responded also. The thing is still that you will stick to your story and we will stick to our story. And indeed, we did not agree with giving you a refund of the complete dive. Instead we offered you a voucher for a free dive with us the next time you would visit La Palma. Something we are glad to offer if somebody is not satisfied. But unfortunately you refused our offer... Nevertheless, we always try to make everybody happy and satisfied when diving with us. We also know it is impossible to only have satisfied guest in our dive centre. Saludos cordiales, Joost and Nanneke

Wow - I am having to pinch myself. My first dive ever. Nanneke my instructor was absolutely amazing. She is friendly and professional and immediately put me at ease (which helped as I had felt rather nervous). I was taken through everything step by step before going into the water and felt incredibly well looked after.
We saw the most gorgeous fish of different shapes, sizes, and colours - what a fabulous adventure.
I loved this so much that I have signed up to take the next step on a diving course.
Totally recommend these guys!

I could not have wished for a better place to get my PADI Open Water license. The professional instruction took it step by step, gradually improving your underwater skills, all the while ensuring that you're safe and that you're having lots of fun. The easy-going atmosphere makes you feel very at ease, and the days are spiced with lots of humor and good vibrations. I will cherish the many experiences as good memories. Definitely a recommend!

In october 2018 we had an introduction dive with a guide at casa de buceo. The divers were very skilled, and very patient with us, which was neccessary as it was our first dive. All and all, it was a lot of fun with professional divers!
